Is there any reason why a guy shouldn't use hair dye that's marketed at women and has women's pictures on the front of the box ? Are there any brands specifically for men ?

not socially acceptable dear Yai, what.. bit like a girlie wanting to eat a Yorkie. a guy musn't have a handbag either but he can have a bumbag Nowt so strange as social 'laws'
theres a dye called, and this is the ingenious bit....'Just for Men..' which as the title might suggest, is intended for you chaps who feel the need to colour their barnet.
Think it'll also depend on what colour you want to dye it - eg I doubt whether you'll find Magenta for Men or Blue for Blokes. There's no reason why you shouldn't use it - after all, fellas have been nicking stuff out of our makeup bags for years, as anyone who lived through the 80s will testify...
Go for it ... there is no difference in mens hair dye and womens ... well except for the pretty pictures.
The stuff marketed for women comes in larger quantities because it is held that they have more hair. However, if you are a hairy bloke you can use it on the chesticles as well (but beware of chemicals on the little lower bits and definitely keep it out of the eyes!)

The stuff marketed for men is a little different in that it develops more quickly and it is more expensive. Get the so called "Girlie" stuff and only use half at a time. Measure the constituent fluids then mix; it won't work if you mix up the lot and try to save some mixture. You have to use it straight away after mixing.

Another important tip: use the polythene gloves supplied with the kit or some Marigolds when you apply the mix because otherwise it will stain your hands. The dye does not permanently mark normal skin, but it does affect the thick skin on your fingers and is permanent on your nails.
No reason at all.....I have Cosmic red in at the minute and i'll be going to Blue as soon as i can get a quiet night to do it.......don't worry about it at all...gi it a blast and have fun and what the heck to anyone who thinks any different of you as long as you like it.
