2000: IPM Communications sold up its payphone business and a staffordshire based company called Infolines took over all of the IPM operations. Infolines also owned Premier Tele-Solutions. Therefore IPM became Infolines Public Networks and the indoor payphone and hospital operations became Infolines Premier.
2001: Infolines went into liquidation, Premier Tele-Solutions became independent and also owned Infolines Public Networks which was shortly after sold off to Central Payphones. By this time, the 1,400 kiosks remaining were in a terrible state as they were neglected by IPM in its final years in the UK. The belfast kiosks were off loaded to an indpendent company in Northern Ireland known as Euro-Payphone Limited.
2002: Interphone Public Networks became the trading name and company owned by the same people to deal with the 1,400 interphone kiosks, several attempts to improve the state of the kiosks was made, but this was proven a failiure because of the vandals and flyposters.
2004: Interphone Public Networks was placed into liquidation and 143 kiosks was retained by Central Payphones and the remaining kiosks was sold to NWP Spectrum now called Spectrum Interactive although they have removed most of the interphone kiosks and replaced them with there own.Other unsold kiosks in the South of England was placed into liquidation.
company is now known as Infolines Public Networks limited.
2008: Infolines Public Networks are refurbishing its remaining 143 kiosks located in places such as Manchester,Bradford,Leeds,Bolton ,Leicster and a few other places.
The kiosks which Spectrum Interactive took over are located in London and Glasgow, there are a few kiosks which are redundant but still have not been removed by local councils/Transport for London.
There are also 2 redundant kiosks located in Brighton,Sussex.
