There seems to be an influx of TV mediums right now eg. 'Crossing Over with John Edwards' and '6th Sense with Colin Fry' etc.

Have any of these been exposed as phonies or ar they 'the real thing' ?

They are all phonies, none of them have "special powers". All mediums and other assorted charletans con the insecure and the gullable. The TV ones just do it on a bigger scale.
They won't be the "real thing" because it's not possible to commune with the dead. mainly because when you're dead, you're.... well, dead! Have you noticed just how vague a medium is with the so called information they are receiving. Never quite getting the full story from the "spirit" ...." I'm getting a smell of apples, and a name begining with A..., does that mean anything to anyone..."? For god's sake, in a big enough audience they are bound to get a few hits. After that it's all a matter of auto suggestion, reading body language and telling the happless punter what they want to hear. I once saw an interesting programme in which a "medium" claimed she could channel the spirit of a dead Navahoe indian chief through herself. Her USP was that she would take questions from the audience while under the influence of the chief and the chief would answer. While under the influence of the "spirit" a member of the audience spoke to her/ the spirit in the native tounge of the navahoe. Not surpisingly she didn't have the first idea what the guy was saying and the "spirit" quickly left her.

Ha Ha! Derek Acorah is quality. He's like a blackpool pier cabaret entertainer. Strange how all his 'summoned spirits' have a faint scouse accent.

i always find it strange that their spirit guides are ALWAYS native americans - they hated the white man, the white man destroyed their civilisation - so why would they come all the way over here to guide some eejit from croydon?
okay if you had NA ancestry, they would conceivably look after their relatives, but most people in britain don't.

i have NA ancestry and i was told i have a NA guide - which is a nice thought, but i didn't believe this person.

and surely many white americans are the anscestors of their murderers!

Ok... I give up Loosehead. I'm officially thick!

I know "LOL" means laugh out loud, but what does LMAO mean?

'laughing my arse off'

or occasionally 'in my arrogant opinion' - written as imao

Many thanks joko.

Interesting Guardian article here, specially the bit about two spirits Derek Acorah made contact with, Kreed Kafer and Rik Eedles...
