yes but there's a difference between wanting to use it and wanting to pay for it isn't there... it seems to me that most of us (myself included) are in the former camp but not the latter!

That's up to the owners - if they can't increase revenue and whatever they earn from it (or lose on it) isn't worth the hassle then.....

A subscription system seems like a good idea but may cost more to run than funds raised.

If we were told approx how much it costs to run the site with fair moderation then maybe we could have a brainstorming thread.

Why?  Becasue people stand up to you?

It's a commercial decision nothing to do with your likes or dislikes, or anyone elses for that matter.

If it is that simple and you really dont like it why dont you, and others complaining, start your own site?

the question isn't "do you enjoy answerbank" it's "should it be closed down"

it seems as though none of us (myself included) are willing to pay for it and neither apparently are advertisers because the revenue has dropped so much! i wonder if the best thing might be to say our goodbyes and watch it disappear
