Very late last night...1am to be exact...I decided to check the Boots site for something.
There was a virtual queue...of over 6,000!
Unfortunately it wasn't even possible to browse or check whether what I wanted was in stock.
i can't get onto my sainsburys online shopping, they say contact Gov.UK which if you look it up doesn't give advice on if you are vulnerable because you can't walk far... i have tried phoning, but after 1 hour i gave up.
I was going to order from Hotel Chocolat the other night but they'd reached their days order delivery.
I went to Montezuma instead on Saturday. Easy ordering.
I tried Expedia, my phone ran out of charge after 4 hours and a lot of crap music, they dont have time or queue positions so 3 x 1st class signed for letters are winging their way to BA, Qantas, and Expedia, I guess we can kiss goodbye to our Andre Rieu concert in Masstricht in July also so more refund or redating to do.
emmie if you start filling in the register as vulnerable page, it asks you questions about stuff, if you don't fit their criteria you put "no". just start the process and see
Tesco seems to be OK but a delay on delivery. They seem to be stocked but are limiting orders. They are limiting many things to just 3 items per order. Good....but not when you have 6 people in the house.
That's happened quick with Boots. Thank goodness I ordered the stuff I needed on Friday afternoon -no queues at all.
I've been trying to order some seeds from Sutton Seeds online for my grandchildren -give them something to do in the garden - has taken me two hours to get through check out process.
When I tried Boots on Sunday, the online queue was over 250000. I forgot about it till the evening, when it was down to about 10000. Eventually got on. The website was very slow and 2 of the items I wanted were out of stock. Still, the one thing we've got plenty of is time.
Just had unexpected delivery from hotelchocolat. Lovely box from my son. These were from John Lewis although he usually gets them direct from hotel chocolat. Looking at hotel chocolat website I can see why now.
Never tried Montezuma.
We all need some chocolate to help us get through this!
