To quote from Ecclesiastes:
There is a time to weep and a time to mourn.
Today is that time. Brexiteers need not comment but those who share my thoughts are warmly welcome.

I said "need not comment" not "can't".
I was a Remainer in 2016 but I'm glad it's finally sorted (at least insofar as it is) and that those who spent years trying to thwart democracy have not succeeded.
OOT OOT OOT !!
Only half a quote there, diddly:

a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance

You missed out the laugh and dance bits.
ahm dancin' !!
My name is Mozz and I'm a remainer.

Phew, it's good to get that off my chest.

But you know what Diddly, there's a time to fight and there's a time to let go. This fight's done, it's time to try and make the most of what we have left. No one wants the country to fail and fall into ruin, so let's put out remainer hats in the wardrobe and try to make things work, for the sake of our kids, and their kids.

Let's unite for Britain.

*stands up, large Union Flag unfurls behind me and the theme to The Dambusters plays softly in the background*

FOR WE ARE THE UNITED KINGDOM AND WE ARE MIGHTY!!!

And if it all goes tits up, we'll poke the Brexiteers with pointy sticks then.
well said Mozz the voice of reason
We can now expect a veritable tsunami of "told you so" aimed at Remainers when little bad happens over the next few weeks. What this fails to acknowledge of course is :-

1. A lot of the damage has already happened.

2. Brexit won't kick in until the end of December owing to the "Transition Period".

But this won't stop the jingoistic Little Englanders wildly waving their flags.

P.S. "Told you so" of course nicely fits the Brexiteers 3-word short attention span which we've become familiar with in "Get Brexit Done","Take Back Control". "Swamped with Immigrants", "Leave Means Leave", etc etc
So much for my career as a motivational speaker. I guess you're still in "us and them" mode then Canary?

Bhg - nothing to laugh or dance about whatsoever.
time to pull together and cast those ties that bound us..onwards and upwards without the constraints of the Bundesbank.... others will follow
Question Author
Errr Minty - I thought you were in Scotland which wants independence and wants to stay in the EU.
bhg481, diddly was only ever going to put the miserable bits on here as she always does. Canary42 Much of any damage as you call it was done through the indecision of people trying to stop what had been voted for by the majority.

I suggest that Brexiteers read this:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51268688
Scotland does NOT want independence Nichola and her braveheart minority do.... as for EU then we are part of the UK and have NEVER been a member state
..whatever way you swing on that we are OOT !!!
We are where are., diddlydo. Let's move on and make the best of things.
Lost a 'we' there. "We are where we are"
i couldn't agree more, we should all be pulling together..
