Have just had my neighbour in to talk about replacing my garden with flags per se.
He has said it is a big enough job as garden needs to be dug up, screed and all the other gardening terms then the price of flags and labour.
I live in a cul-de-sac so don't have a pavement and I would also need a little wall to stop the drivers driving and reversing onto the flags.
If I don't go with the flags can anybody advise of any other low maintenance solution. As I have said in another post the garden didn't germinate last year and is patchy with the dog's urine.
If I do think of more garden/lawn - would it be a good idea to get rid of all the old soil anyway.
Neighbour didn't seem enthused but then he has a mountain of problems at the moment.
Do you want to walk on it - if not then any cheap ground-cover plant would work (no- or low-maintenance). Consult garden centre for suitable examples (or perhaps someone else here will come up with something)
thanks Chris - would love to go for that but there are too many kids who would simply enjoy throwing the gravel about. My sister has this but is lucky at the moment where she lives there are no kids anymore.
