I have a problem. We are going on holiday to Normandy on Friday. We do not return home until the following Sunday night. Strictly is on the previous night Saturday. My humax box will not let me set a recording on the Friday morning as we go for the following Saturday night. Has anyone any idea what I can do?

Why can't you watch it on BBC Iplayer on your computer when you come back?

My iPad is quite small and I don't think it would be the same. Plus I'm not sure how to do it!
You should be able to set up a manual recording if you know the date/time/channel - which Humax box have you got?
www.bbc.co.uk/Iplayer -and you type in the programme you want to see although sometimes programmes come up on the screen and you can just click on.
If you spent £30 and got yourself a Chromecast for your TV, you could use your iPad to show iPlayer on your TV.
Caran, do you have an ethernet socket on your TV?I have an ethernet lead that goes from my computer to the back of the TV then I can get iplayer through the Humax by pressing TV Portal on the Humax remote control.
Sorry, not £30 any more, they are now £19.

The only problem would be if your TV is really old and doesn't have an HDMI socket.
Press the Schedule button on your remote. Under the list of programmes which you have already set to record, you will see --/--. Scroll to this and press OK. You will then be able to set the date, time and channel of the programme you want to record.
