....if Scotland had gone for the McPoond in 2014 rather than saying they would stay in the UK pound?

The Scottish Pound would have been easier to discredit, so the result would have been worse. The Independence vote didn't fail because of which currency they would have ended up using, it failed because the majority were happy as they were in the UK.
