///Local Fayyaz Ali, 39, has called the authenticity of the leaflets into question. ‘This has got to be a scam,’ he told the MEN. ‘I’m a Muslim and the Muslim law says that if you live in a country that is not Muslim, which is England, you respect the law of the land.///

I like your attempt at humour in the title of your question.

Baldric is right - someone stirring up trouble for reason or reasons only known to themselves.

As I thought, somebody stirring it. Though you don't have to be a Muslim not to like dogs. A chap round the corner from me nearly had an apoplectic fit when my dog nipped into his garden to do its business early one morning.

And I always thought you would be a responsible dog owner!
Baldric, I'm guessing Mr Ali hasn't heard of this organisation.
Sandy is, he posted a poop bag in his letterbox so he could clear his garden.

(More than cat owners do.)
Just a mischievous attempt to stir up discord in the area I imagine. Funny how this has come about soon after Brexit when laminated cards were strewn around with regard to Poles also. Dogs have only just become a social problem??
I believe the Quran says there is nought wrong with mutts and a parable (fairy tale) says that a muslim was wandering around the desert as they do and he came across Fido with tongue out and panting with thirst.
Ali jumps down the well (no pussy down there) and realises there is a hole in his bucket so he scoops up the H2O in his shoe and lets Fido drink from his shoe. Thought they wore flip flops but any how the Prophet said any man who lets a dog drink from his shoe will find a place in Paradise where he will find pussy.
That is a Islamic Fable. So dogs are no probs.
It also says a Islamic hunter can eat the meat of the prey that his hunting dog has caught. Fact. If his hunting dog is a lazy hound I suppose he can eat the dog as well if he is that hungry.
Those two factual stories prove my opinion that those posters are mischievous I think. :-)
There are one or two Muslims that I know of who are dog owners.

The dog was on a long lead and squatted down, more on the start of the drive than the garden, before I could stop her. I cleaned it up and apologised. And apart from keeping the dog on a short lead when we're in that street I don't know what more i could do.
People/organisations with time and money to waste on such stirring/leaflets etc should use it to do good in their neighbourhood.
Quite right. Collect them all up and pin them on the back of the outside Khazi door next to the Pigeon loft.
retrocop, these people began their campaign before the referendum. They appear to have fundamentalist opinions. They're quoting Dr. Zakir Naik who's as mad as a box of frogs!
///who's as mad as a box of frogs!///
Hope M.Hollande is not seeing this.
Haaaaa! He's a pussy cat by comparison.
Third time pussycat has been mentioned on a thread about dogs.!!
Haha! Some of us, at least, are animal lovers. ;o)

I may be a dog owner but I like *** as well I'll have you know ;o)

Since when ^^^ has the plural of cats been offensive?
