If male suicide bombers are given 72 virgins, according to parts of the Qur'an, what are female bombers given? I am a tad confused because on reading parts of Islam preachings it says that 'suicide is clearly forbidden'!

Maybe they get the wonderful and splendid right to be reborn as a man and have another go at becoming a martyr.
Or am I getting confused with hinduism ?
does it say that sex these these virgins are for males?

Like all religious fairy tale books there are many inconsistencies so that devotees can pick the bits they like.
I've said it before - they don't want virgins they want someone with a little experience
Thankfully no virgins. ;o)

'My husband went to heaven and all I got was this lousy t-shirt'
So you read in Quran that a suicide bomber is given 72 virgins?

And then you read that Islam clearly forbids suicide.
Suicide bombers don't consider their deaths to be suicide, but rather martyrdom in war in the cause of Allah, for which they are promised reward.

//“Do not consider those killed [while engaging] in God’s cause dead. Rather, they live with their Lord, who sustains them!”// Koran 3:169

.... but I've no doubt Keyplus knows that.

keyplus90, I don't understand your point! ..... I did say that I 'read parts of the Qu'ran', one of the parts read was that suicide is clearly forbidden and another says that 'hadith and Islamic scholars all mention that virgins will be awarded to Muslim men in Paradise'.
I know that the meanings of words change but I think that the meaning of the word 'martyr' is still someone who is killed (by someone else)for reasons of religion. So, according to the above definition the victims of a suicide bomber would be the martyrs, not the suicide bomber him/herself.
^In your world perhaps but not in theirs. As Keyplus says, suicide is forbidden.
