Rather late night, youngest sons eighteenth. Started about 7.30pm finished about 4.00am. Started again, on a much quieter scale, about 8.00am this morning. The last 2 guests will be leaving soon, 2.30pm.

tempus fugit I think it's called ozz. we all get there in the end.

Sounds about right oz. ;o} Sometimes it's a long road. The older we get the longer it is mate. Just think, we had that much stamina once.

Not been to bed ... tripped on stairs at about 11:30pm when rushing down to see why Maisie was barking - thought I'd broken my ankle. Stone cold sober too, before you lot start :)

Got lift to A&E where (after 3 hour wait) doctor also thought it was bust.

However - a whole pile of X-Rays said 'no fracture' - and apparently three doctors checked them (as mine was still convinced it 'looked broken').

So it's probably just badly sprained & buggered ligaments - but can't walk on it at all, let alone drive. Hobbling on NHS crutches is about all I can do.

Pain relief and 'elevated rest' for a couple of days, then see what I can manage to mobilise - could be a boring/painful week or three ahead though.

getting lighter now with a clear sky. off to do something but will probably be back later.
