Its been known for a long time....

£12 billion that could be put to good use here at home, as could every £ we throw away into this bottomless pit of "aid"
Added to the £50 million A DAY we give to the EU, that money could and should be used here in the UK.
Its pure madness. We [I[borrowquote[ money to [I]give] it away.
Aid isn't necessarily intended to improve "freedom" which is what this article refers to - it's to relieve poverty and starvation. The Mail will pervert anything to pursue it's far-right policies, and its brain-dead readers get sucked in.
messed me italics up, lol. But I'm sure you get the meaning.
Of course it should be better spent at home, that is where charity should begin.

But our 'rulers' wont change it. Philanthropy with other peoples money always gives ALL of them a nice warm feeling.
who are you calling brain-dead, you cheeky, arrogant (add expletive)

Totally agree with you Svejk, it is time this persistent 'troll' was taken to task either by the Ed or the Mods.
The metrics used by the report paid for by the Taxpayers' Alliance do not reflect the broader reasons for assigning aid.

And the £12billion budget is not all 'aid'. It comprises of a number of different financial instruments which fall under the umbrella of aid.

That is why (I suspect) Russia was included under the 'aid umbrella'.

AOG - I don't think this report 'proves' foreign aid isn't working, in the same way that I wouldn't trust a report sponsored by Kelloggs which 'proved' that it's own brand of corn flakes were the most nutritious foodstuff in the world.
It may not prove it, but certainly somethign not to be ignored.

I think you make your point without recourse to insults - maybe you would like to bear that in mind for future posts?

Thanks.
don't feed the trolls Andy!
Can we shoot them off their perch then TTT?
Lets keep borrowing £200 million a day.......then we can give it away...yup, makes good sense

Do you know the answer?

If Foreign Aid Is Not Working (As Proven By This Report) Should There Be A Re-Think On How This Money Can Be Better Spent?
