what ever you wish/can afford to give, I don't think there is a certain amount.
Depends on their age as well I think, TWR. A teenager is gonna get through more dough than a toddler.
What do you mean by jollies and what age?

I don't have grandchildren but I give my nieces money, the amount depends on what there plans are.
If you mean holidays, then I don't give money to them specifically - often I am with them ,so will treat them whilst we are away.
Grandparent gives my youngest boy age 13 £20 I give my grandchild aged 7 £10
