Just been on FB and my (step) dad (who I have called dad since I was 7) has just posted yet another photo of my (half) brother's daughter (his biological son and grand-daughter). OK, she is only 5 months old, etc, etc and he lives near to them but he hasn't posted any photos my children! Feel mildly pissed off and unthought of (sadly childish but true) - will now gland give myself a kick up the arse and get a grip.

Thanks daffy, (sorry about the typos). I try so hard to be super-duper fair with my children (ok, the eldest is only 11). Ok, will now go and try to grow up a bit and get a grip (and sulk a bit more).
I will help you sulk sher. If I buy for one, I buy for the others. Everyone must be treated fairly and he is not doing that. He has been your dad since the age of seven and you should be treated as his daughter and your children as his grandchildren.
don't worry sher, if he doesn't have the same amount of contact with your lovely children, the he's always going to be the loser, he'll realise that one day!.................

Don't get me wrong, he's not horrible or anything (way better than my 'real' dad) just made me a bit sad that we don't seem to matter. Feeling a bit sensitive at the moment but have noticed it before. No matter I suppose, at the end of the day I have got my beautifuls and lots of people are not so lucky.
((HUG)) ♥
Surely, this is an 'incy wincy' rant, isn't it?

Oh Mamy, you have actually made me cry (my mam died two years ago this week and, whilst we had a rubbish relationship, I think it is finally hitting home). x
Why Incy Wincy ? As in climbing up the spout?
Question Author
As in teeny weeny compared to most peoples lot life.
>---:0x---<

Hug and kiss sherr....

Why not paste one on his wall...mabye he will get the hint x
Oh I see Sherr - I didn't know it meant that, I sang it when helping out in a Primary class for several years and didn't realise it meant little diddy spider! :)
Question Author
Hi all - wouldn't want to hurt his feelings, tough time for him at the moment (2 year anniversary of my mam's death looming large, would never hurt anyone intentionally (although I do have some exceptions)). Just need to get a grip, I get to see the beautifuls all the time! Think I am also still annoyed withbiscuit nazis at playgroup today, but that's another thread. X
I'm not on facebook, but if someone posted pictures of me or my child on it I would be slightly annoyed.
You could just paste one saying "hi grandpa, or whatever they call him?"
Cheer him up probobly this week being a toughie xx
Question Author
Good idea Tink (thanks for the kick up the arse that I clearly needed) x
Hehehe......not at all...xx
Good idea tink. Sher, easy to see neglect where none is meant. Can understand your miffedness. If that is not a word it should be. Biscuit nazis? Do tell.
I know Facebook has privacy and all and I do use fb I would never want photos of young children on. Too many weirdos.
Not sure it is a good thing to have children plastered on fb. I love my grandchildren to bits, but wouldn't post pics of them. Just my opinion.
