What was the reason they had ran out? maybe a late delivery or lack of staff to put the items on the shelf? If one supermarket doesn't have something i want then there are many others to go to, if Morrison's have a habit of doing this all the time then i agree it's time to "jump ship".
I would say its a morrisons habit (dont know if other supermarkets are the same) i used to shop there regularly and every special offer i wanted had bare shelves above the offer sign....totally crap
I went in to Morrisons for four items - rice, eggs, bread and kitchen foil - and it cost me over £47.00. Why? Because I was daft enough to to take Mr BD in with me and he just keeps putting things in the basket. Never again.
Want me to pop over, micmak? Morrisons is heaving with those things today - mind you, ASDA opens tomorrow so we will see what the competition looks like!
Ive fallen for that micmak, my neice was stocking up on Pampers baby nappies and the offer for a bogof at morrisons came up. We went there and they said they had sold out, we bought a couple of things in there and went the next day for the nappies... which hadn't arrived........so we spent some more money......etc etc.
It's a loss leader isn't it? Trying to lure people like me into their shop where I would come out with a trolley full instead of the one or two items I intended to buy.
Although I feel sorry for you, I am pleased to know that it happens elsewhere. I am sick and tired of going to our local supermarket (that's a laugh) and there is nothing there that I want, so you have cheered me up!
