Before I visited Glasgow for the first time...........she told me Dennistoun was the 'posh-part'..............:o)

Railway ticket office Glasgow

Customer - I'd like to go to London please.
Ticket seller - Naw son, ye've goat tae go tae London
For some reason, and it was nothing that she had said/hadn't said, I had pictured Glasgow as being a 'city on the flat'....like London.
Boy!! Was I ever wrong about that!! LoL
She took me to her old school, Alexander Park Parade 'Approved' School..:o)

I love it....my favourite city in the world. If something could be done about the bloody hills, I might even go and live there. :o)
You're right about the hills. We used to go to The Cotton Club ( Ii met my husband there ) and when we came out at three am we would fly down the hill it was on and not stop until we reached the bus stop at George Square.

I know it's got a rubbish reputation but as a teenager I was in Glasgow every weeknd and not once did I feel scared or threatened. It's a great place.
