What a difference betweens Spain's approach and what would be Britain's approach in similar circumstances.

",,, what would be Britain's approach in similar circumstances."

We'd probably just follow the USA into war with them.
Brilliant idea, instead of which UK train prices are going through the roof, no incentive to use public transport - etc.
We`ll approach the problem by hitting people in their pockets as usual. Petrol will go up, flight fuel surcharges will increase and the supermarkets will rub their hands in glee as they relish an excuse to put their prices up.
Yummy-yummy-yummy...up here in Aberdeen,we are going ballistic...money-money-money....Nelson Rockefellar...who the heck is he...?

/// Make illegal immigrants push our cars to work for us.///

Easier for them if you were making for the benefits office, they know the way there

Yeah - please explain how illegal immigrants who by their very nature, live 'off the grid' can claim benefits?

Doesn't make much sense to me.

Just because you are an illegal immigrant does not mean you can't claim benefits. There are approx 150,000 doing so:

Maybe you won't accept rov's loophole example, but here is one that opens the doors to them.

watched the news like you posted anotheroldgit - I think the thing that stood out was that she was an EU national (married to a dutch citizen) therefore presumably her children where EU nationals and as such were protected by EU law so couldn't be removed from school even though the parents financial position changed... the circumstances are such that i don't think this represents much of a loophole or floodgates issue??

Anyway back to the question regarding rising fuel prices - my guess would be that the british gov would tend to tax everything in sight and the majority of people on the answerbank would blame immigrants?
