Will the police do what they get paid for,and remove this load of lay-abouts, before tomorrow's State Opening of Parliament?

Doubt it, good coppering went out the window when they flooded the Force with loads of PC do gooders from university.

Anyway I'm sure it would somehow affect their 'ooman rights.

I'm with you.

I hate do-gooders.

I prefer do-nothingers or even better, don't-carers.
They were either born to rich parents or they are living off the state. Its a pity wse do not have the same rules as communist China as they'd be digging ditches or something useful.
rov, I wondered that. How can anyone have the time to do this unless they're self-sufficient, or living on benefits?
"Its a pity wse do not have the same rules as communist China as they'd be digging ditches or something useful. "

Yeah! We should totally, like, emulate the most murderous regime on the planet...
....and can I just add if we had the same rules as Communist China, we wouldn't be speaking our minds on AB.

/// if we had the same rules as Communist China, we wouldn't be speaking our minds on AB.///

Which many would still prevent us from doing so, if only they could.

Plus isn't that a bit of a weak response?

'If we had the kind of system you're endorsing, the online freedom of speech we're currently enjoying would be suppressed.'

'Yeah, well, people still want to do that.'

We should be grateful that we live in a country where peaceful protest and freedom of opinion is allowed. A lot of good me died so that we could have them and we should all remember that.
We all have the right to protest aganst our overlords and their decisions.
The UK has not become that tyranical yet.
Question Author
Nothing wrong with protesting in a free country, and it should never be curtailed.

The problem being there are legal peaceful protests, taken place in designated areas, and those that cause a disruption, mainly by where they take place or the violence involved.

Parliament square being inhabited over a long period by all and sundry, tents erected, no toilet facilities, and the turf dug up, is in no way being reasonable, especially when the State Opening of Parliament is to take place.

To all those free thinkers amongst you, I ask you this, would you be so liberal minded, if the protest was by what some claim to be Right-Wing groups?

I think you will find that some are only free thinking, when the Far-Left are taking doing the protesting.
