I wonder how many on here will join me in condemning these "women and child killers" this time?

In the past there have been many criticising the NATO troops if they accidentally kill a few civilians in the war zone.

But how many of these are now prepared to stand up and be counted, into condemning these murderous Taliban, those who have more innocent blood on their hands than anybody?

sherminator is not supporting the Taliban, and neither am I. You must be being deliberately disingenuous.

The Taliban are targeting the Afghan population. Many, many more than 37 have died due to their roadside bombs (and please do not insult me again by twisting my words to say I want many more than 37 of our people to die). I will not bother asking again whether you think these civilians are in league with the people slaughtering them.

I wonder if the 35 people in Kandahar will get a motorcycle parade?

Since you protested so much I can only assume that you are not using the other user name Gromit, so firstly I must sincerely apologise, for my accusation.

You accuse me of not answering Gromit's question, and since you are adamant that you yourself needs an explanation, I can only repeat that since I have never said that "Afghan population are colluding with the Taliban" I am not as you accuse me of "reluctant to answer it".

How can I possibly answer it? but I will go as far to speculate, that at least some are, and that in no way admits that I have ever made that statement in the first place, on this post, or any other to my knowledge.

Perhaps since you are so interested you should ask Gromit where he got this so called statement I made from, was it from his fertile imagination?

Regarding your other pointless request

/// Whilst we are at it, why haven't you given an explanation on this question that you asked as well:///

Since no questions were ask me, and the fact that the question had obviously reach a conclusion, judging by the snide and sometimes unreadable answers, I decided that I did not need to contribute further.

Since it was my question, it was also my prerogative to chose not to contribute further, just as it is others prerogative not to answer. I do not need the likes of you alerting me to past posts that I have decided to finish with.
I am even more convinced now that AOG is not for real! He can't possibly be.

/// Because I post a true statement about how well equipped our enemy is compared to us you then label me a taliban supporter!///

No you did not post "how well equipped our enemy is compared to us"

You were bleating on that we were better equipped than them, that made me feel you felt sorry for their lack of equipment in their effort to destroy us.

So how else can one not interpret that you were a supporter of them.

But if you feel I should be reported please feel free, just click the box at the top "Report this question" You will need to convince the ED that I have said something against the rules of the site.

If i knew how to report you on this forum I Would!

Why are you demanding other people answer questions, when you deem it "their prerogative not to"?

nope. Soory AOG that doesn't wash.

I started by saying i find it laughable that people say we are under equipped.

you said i was sick (with me so far?)

i then proved I was right by mentioning everything we have that they dont thus winning my argument with you that we are NOT under equipped.

You then label me a taliban supporter? Just because I can beat you with reasoned debate DOES NOT give you the right to label me a taliban supporter! Who the hell do you think you are? I have mates that have been to afghanistan so for you to say I support the taliban..... You have no idea how angry i am at you.

But since you feel it ok to attack me personally I feel justified in calling you a repulsive vacuous Cretin. Who couln't put a reasoned argument together if his life depended on it!

// the Taliban are indistinguisable from the general population (civilans) so civilians are going to get killed. They are in a war zone if they can't stand the heat then they should get the hell out, or join up with our troops and get the Taliban out. Or are they actually hiding the Taliban? In which case they deserve all they get. //
I think that given AOG's definition of 'Taliban supporter' has now come to light, it is probably now fair to conclude that the vast majority of the Afghan population do support the Taliban. Glad that's cleared up.
As probably, are most of the students I encountered today on my campus and everyone in the primary school I passed on the way there.

Gee, I should really think about moving...
bobjugs - you are doinjg it now. These weird sanitzed phrases that disguse what is really happening -

'Theatre' - someone else's country
'Ordnance dropped' - bombs designed to destroy and kill people in their country
'Civpop deaths - innocent people dying so that democracy can be forced on them - wehter they want it or not.

The scenario here is the same as in Viet Nam - and the result will be the same - we send a professional army who are soliders as a career. They send patriots who will and do die to protect their faith, their people, and their way of life.

One fights for money, one fights for freedom - who can doubt who will always win?
Hi Sherminator. Under equipped meant that when I was posted for 6 months we had only *** land rovers, too few mine detectors, old equipment, shared body armour for a period, wrong camouflage combats and boots, under resourced, under supplied, rules of engagement equalling Queensbury Rules for Boxing against Cage Fighters etc etc etc. Oh and friends still at Hedley Court rehabilitating from wounds. Comfy on yr settee?
AndyH.
I am not using weird sanitized phrases, I'm just using undramatised terms that have been used since time immemorial. The statements you have replaced mine with are just comical. Use a dictionary and you will see terms like ordanance and theatre.
On a another point do you really believe that the Taliban fight for love and faith. Most of them are doing it through either coercian or pay. Majority of TB fighters have either been paid with drug money or have been ordered to fight by village elders after TB hierarchy have threatened the villiage in order to get more poor b'stards to feed into the meat grinder. The Afghan people don't really care about their country, they care about their villiage, tribe and family. They want money and they want security.
Gadgetgeek can support me on this. The majority of the Afghan population WANT US THERE!! The women have started to enjoy freedoms that were never possible under Taliban rule. There is a market growing for things like make-up and western clothes. Girls are allowed to go to school. There are radio stations and TV channels. And they like it.
The reason we are struggling is twofold, we do not have enough resources and we do not have popular support. When we are removing the TB from a villiage or area we only have enough troops to hold it for a while before we have to move on. The TB are falling into the vacumn we leave behind. As for the support, the general western population couldn't find Afghanistan on a map, nor have any idea whats going on. The western media apply western rules to a country that has none. Take the corruption factor, to us it's reprehensible, to them it's not only normal but it's expected. Greasing palms is the only way to get things done in their eyes. If we put the money into humanitarina efforts in Afghanistan that we chucked into Haiti or Darfur then we would go so far to fixing things. The charitable teams and NGOs out there do a legendary job, but, just like British Forces, they are struggling to do more without further support. I would suggest, rather than spending time slating troops, people look at what good things they are doing in theatre, look at the schools, medical centres and police stations. Look at the 5 year old girls allowed to play with their brothers, the women with jobs in government. All that did not exist 10 years ago.

Oneeyedvic,
I wasn't saying that I only ever speak the truth, just that you should take any figures with a pinch of salt.
gadgetgeek my sofa is a leather recliner its amazingly comfy.

And when our army rolled in with Harriers and subs that can fire from 500 miles away what equipment did the afghan military roll out to stop them? When you can communicate with soldiers and other intel 500 miles away what expert equipment did the taliban have to counter this?
and again how much armour do the taliban landrovers have?
Not that I feel i should but I am in no way a taliban sympathiser but i find it riduculous that people can say we are underequipped when fighting against one of the worlds poorest countries.
A force will always be underequipped when they are still suffering casualties through equipment not being fit for purpose, or not available at all.
I think you are making the mistake of thinking the TB are a poor, stupid organisation staffed by illiterate peasants. They are not. They have a masive intelligence network, they use weapons that we cannot and would not use, they have access to different weapons systems and they know how to use them. They also know our restrictions and our rules. They exploit our duty of care to civilians and use our medical prioritys against us.
This isn't the 'vast military behemoth vs a poor farmer' type battle that many think it is.
Im not saying the taliban are stupid (and are probably a lot more resourceful than our military leaders gave them credit for)

But no matter how well equipped we are people are still going to die. and the fact is that for every one of our soldiers that dies we've probably killed about ...50? of theirs!

So again I stand by my comment when compared to what we are up against we're hardly under equipped, because if we were there would be a lot more deaths!

Well there you have it again, sounds very much to me that he feels sorry for the Taliban's lack of equiptment. If I had wrote that I would have been misquoted, had it taken out of context, insulted you name it.

Perhaps he should have a word with Brown and see if we can't send them some of our casts-offs, you know just to make things a little more fair?

Moving back to my original question, yes it would seem that rather than condemn these women and child killers, some on here would rather they turned the question round to have a go at me.

Which to me suggests that I am more hated by some, than the Taliban.
