Cameron's Nooo Tories.

David cameron is desperately going around apologising for previous Thatcher's and Major's past policies.

Today, he is apologising to homosexuals and says they were wrong about section 28.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-119692 4/Cameron-apologises-gays-Section-28-Maggies-l aw-ban-promotion-homosexuality-schools-wrong-s ays-Tory-leader.html

The other day he says they were wrong about Scottish devolution.

I would be interested to hear what Tories think about these statements?

Are the Tories moving too near to Labour, just to get elected?

Did you see this line:

He insisted that under his leadership the party was embracing gay rights and predicted it would produce Britain's first gay Prime Minister.

Yep...right after Madonna wins an Best Actress Oscar.

well the section 28 issue was largeley misrepresented. It was designed to stop teachers peddling gay propganda but in reality they tried to say it stopped them dealing with bullying issues, total b0ll0x. Still didn't stop the labour party using the Parliament act twice to help their Gay buddies.

As far as devolution goes I'd say they were right to oppose it, why create a whole new batch of snout in trough politicians with very little power? But hey it's of sod all importance as none of us are independent anyway.

Anyway, on the wider issue Gromit I'd say that Labour first had to become psuedo Tory to get elected so really they are pretty much identical, except for a few minor issues like the section 28 stuff etc so I'd say no!

Scare mongering stories that highlighted a few gay radicals dishing out gay propaganda should not lead a Government to introduce laws that hinder sensible communication with a significant minority section of society. I'm glad Cameron has seen its error.

As for Devolution, the Tories were completely out of step with the mindset of an entire region of the UK, which is surely more embarrassing politically than the section 28 debacle.

Tory I am, Cameron fan I am not.

He smacks too much of Blair or my liking, but I guess he is just pampering to the media - just like Blair.

Clause 28 was a load of nonsense.

No prosecutions, and a miniscule amount of money spent on books like Terry's Got Two Dads.

A huge misfire on the part of the Tories at the time. It effectively galvanized gays against them very vocally, and for zero political gain.

Not as dim as the Poll Tax, but certainly up there.

Not openly gay prime minister you notice!

Is he trying to tell us something perhaps?

Forget policies, individuals and Political point scoring from either Party............the electorate wants a change of Government at the next election........it is that simple.

Yep sqad is correct, the opposition do not win elections, governments lose them. Usually because of an overriding desire for a change. Do not look for rhymme or reason with the public where half of them are thick as pig sh1t and half of them are dimmer than that, they are more interested in brain numbing soaps on the roger Mellie. So Jake, Gromit and co get used to a couple of terms of the Tories. Cameron cannot avoid winning now but he's just playing to his own insecurities. Sucking up to the right on trendy issues as he sees them is just part of that. I just hope he ain't gonna introduce hug a Bandit week or something!

A couple of Terms Geezer?

Wow you really do have a low opinion of the elctorate don't you?

A year or so of cutting public services due to what they will call the "dreadful state they inherited" whilst simultaneously cutting inheritance tax for millionaires and private schools and I think people will remember why they were booted out

You are right.

It seems like a long time to wait though to end up with a Tony Blair clone.

well jake I suppose I also have a low opinion of he system when some snotty, who is cluless can vote and cancel out your vote for example, there is something wrong. I don't know what the answer is but there has to be a better way. Anyway doesn't matter who you vote for the governement always gets in!

When I was young, it was a CRIMINAL OFFENCE to be involved in homosexual practices. Now we have prediction of a homosexual Prime Minister. Don't we actually have a homosexual prime minister-in-waiting? Mandelson seems to be running the country by proxy - even after having been thrown out of TWO previous cabinets for dodgy dealings.
It's time that we got rid of ALL the dodgy dealers out of government posts - even that slimeball Cash has wheedled his way back into favour. Anyone else would have been jailed.

AND....We want our word GAY back. It was a lovely word descriptive of childhood delights. Now it just means perverted and refers to people who should be kept under lock and key, as in the last century.

I'm old enough to remember people being jailed for homosexual activities and actually worked in the same office as one who was jailed. Good riddance to him.
Then it became legal. A total mistake
Then it became highly fashionable. Celebrity idiocy.
Now it is getting very powerful. Beware.
Cameron and Brown seem hell bent on making it compulsory. Come to think of it Brown is a metaphor for homosexuality.

It is comical to see where all this political correctness might lead. Until we have an all-black all-gay parliament with a gay prime minister then there is still a goal to work to. I hope they televise the embraces, and maybe even a few bedroom scenes.

Yes Quinlad, they jolly well will, and good job too. Who needs fields?

Please bear in mind when you listen to Cameron spouting all the "gay" correct claptrap, that gay men put their penises up other gay mens' bottoms. This is what actually happens.

Noo Tories or bloody fools?

Straight men put their penises into women's bottoms (when they can get half a chance) and put their tongues into the same place which women pee out of.

Horses for courses.

kestrelg - funniest post of the week. I assume you're being ironic.
