I saw my friend, who lost his sight many years ago, in town this morning without his guide dog which was very unusual. Asking him where his dog was he laughed and said he has Alzheimers. His dog does actually have the disease. He is now waiting for another guidedog. Has anybody heard of this before?.

With respect John I am at a loss to figure out how the vets could or indeed would arrive at this diagnosis. What diagnostic tool would they use.......
It does exist and is distressing for the dog and the owners.
