Italian Paedophile Father+Son Arrested.

Arrested father in Turin had been abusing his daughter since she was 9 years old(She's now 34)
His 41 year old son also arrested for sexually abusing his own children, 6, 8 + 12.

So who says capital punishment would not be appropriate in these cases ?

Is that what the victims want? An easy escape for the offender, whilst the victims shoulder not only the burden of the affects of the offences, but the deaths as well?
Death is not the greatest punishment. Being made to live with the consequences and face up to what they have done is much worse.

We don't even know yet what on earth has gone on with this case in Italy.

If someone were to do something to my little one I would want to kill them. That's why we've got a system in place to stop us from wreaking our own revenge on people. I couldn't cope with murder.

Plus, I may make an error and kill the wrong person.

I've said it before, but we can't kill people as a punishment because we're too fallible in our own selves to ever judge things properly.

Capital punishment even if gives the result is barbaric and sounds like Sharia Law so we can't accept that. We should rather let these things happen again and again on the assumption that after a while it perhaps would die its own death.

Capital punishment isn't carried out only in the name of Allah, and Sharia Law is so much more than capital punishment.
As the offence was carried out in Italy I don't know why you are bringing Islam into the thread.

Have to agree with the others that the death sentence would be inappropriate but I must admit that I hanker after the old fashioned stocks on the village green for these type of offences, it wouldn't help the child but parents would benefit.

We're talking about someone who raped and abused their own daughter. Then groomed their own son to do the same to her and his own children.

You can hardly compare it to Sharia Law...!!!
