Anyone watch these documentaries showing the abyss that this country has fallen into, due to gangs, gang violence?

most of the crime problems(guns & knives) are directly attributable to black gangsta rap culture, but as usual the politicians and all the do gooder lefties just wont admit.

i did watch that programme and was just astounded by the numb-nutted attitude of the children they showed. where are their parents? what are they teaching them? people who allow their 11-12 year olds to smoke dope and behave like that should have their kids taken off them and be locked up themselves for being such a waste of space as a parent. personally, i don't see what is cool about swaggering along the street like you've sh1t yourself, wanting respect for doing sod all and getting banged up for a long stretch after you have been a tw@t and hurt someone.
Seems the norm and is the rule rather than the exception.

i agree, layenda. people and the media go on about immigrants and black people being responsible for all the crime, but they seem to conveniently forget the white trash living in the sink estates - of which there are far, far more (too many in my opinion). i know people will moan at me for bringing that up, but if people keep buying into that culture and not challenging it, where will we end up? all my local council estates are no go areas, particularly after dark - unless i want to go and get mugged/stabbed/taunted/abused in some fashion (or i want to dish it out, of course). i have been homeless, on the dole, a young parent, low wage earner and its taken me fifteen years of hard work, stress and madness at times to get myself a decent home (albeit an expensively rented one), a degree and a decent job (eight months ago) in order to survive in this tough, unforgiving world. if others can't be bothered to do that, why does society owe them anything? surely being a shelf stacker or a cleaner (both of which jobs i have done) has to be better than the posturing and bleating of the masses depicted in the programme?

There seems to be plenty of jobs for the Polish and others that come here.
And it did not start with Thatcher, it started (and continues) by giving a whole group of people in society benefits without asking for ANYTHING in return.
And has been stated, massive uncontrolled immigration has allowed thousands of unemployable black kids to live here and behave like they do in Africa.
I bet if we removed EVERY balck person from the UK knife crime would drop to almost zero. What a wonderful thought but too late of course, the country is ruined.

whats with all the racist generalisation crap on here? i work with plenty of black people and without any problems - usually they are a hard working, proud cultured people and don't always get the handouts people think they do - for instance asylum seekers are not eligable for council housing but usually end up in cramped crap temporary accommodation and claim housing benefit for it (probably costing more in the long run due to being ripped off by landlords and the astronomical housing market). i enjoy working with my diverse range of colleagues, learn lots about other cultures and beliefs and this helps me to understand more people and issues in my community. btw, vhelpfulguy - the reason that all the polish people are coming over here is because none of the great unwashed in our country would stoop so low as to do the menial, working class jobs that they willingly and happily do. if it helps them and makes sure my car gets fixed/tesco shelves are stacked/hospitals get cleaned - what is wrong with that? stop benefits and make the chavs do it instead if they are able - except that they wont, will they?

She has been out of office for seventeen years and I do not remember knife and gun crime increasing so dramatically in the twelve years she was PM as it has recently.
As most working people who were around then will know, her era was the making of most of the �working class� who were prepared to get off their backsides. They were given the opportunities to buy property, own shares and enjoy levels of affluence that their parents could only dream of. Yes it�s true that workers in some of the heavy industries suffered � but they, along with most of the rest of the population, would have suffered even more had things gone on as they were. Nonetheless, many of them successfully made the change to other careers and prospered.
The root cause of these latest problems is lack of respect for other people (the very thing most of the perpetrators are said to crave for themselves) coupled with lack of proper law enforcement and justice. Couple this with an administration crippled by political correctness to such a degree that not even the causes of the problem can be adequately discussed or debated, and you have a recipe for continued mayhem.
