no surprise in manchester last night,
the mc losers were in town forgetting all their inherent troubles by getting p!$$€d (if that was a sport they would at least be champions of something),
to make matters worse the mancs set up some screens so the ticketless travelling t0$$€rs who for some reason think it is better to puke on the pavement in manchester rather than glasgow can watch the occasional bit of the match between urinating in a doorway,
then, at the crucial moment...... the start of the football match ..no picture!
well done great, organisation, you lot couldnt organise a heavy drinking session in a beer factory,
the freeloading mens skirted army then kick off instead,
bye bye and take your prime minister with you.

Helpmetoo, the reason he was in the south and now in the north is that his company asked him to go and work there. He was sorting problems with IT systems that noone could seem to remedy. He was the right man for the job and gained a good promotion in the process. He is now based in Liverpool and works for the UK and USA branch of his company. Would you move to Scotland in those circumstances?

I always admire the eternal optimism of the organisers of these football associated events. As soon as I heard that there was going to be a huge mix of opposing fans in the same area, my alarm bells rang and I knew trouble was imminent! So why didn't they? It beggars belief to even entertain the idea that there would be peace and sweetness and light, regardless of who the teams were.....

Exactly what 4getmenot said, "Nothing to do with being a jock or northener. Its just footie".
The scenes I saw on Sky news, where disgusting. The poor policeman that had been knocked to the ground, and was surrounded by a mob kicking him.
There were all the usual excuses again i.e. "this was totally unexceptable behavour", "It was only a minority that caused the trouble," "the police used heavy handed tactics", etc. etc.
The Manchester authorities had provided a giant screen, but unfortunately this broke down, and when the technicians tried to fix it, they were pelted with bottles etc. Due to this the Authorities stated they would not be providing these facilities this week-end. About time too they should withdraw these facilities permanently.
Regarding the cost of police time, and the bill for clearing up after the mob. This should be served on the F.A. after all there is enough mega bucks in football, they could well afford to foot the bill.
In closing, if football crowds cause trouble such as this, shut down the offending clubs for a period of time. In the meantime why don't they bring in the water cannons? these will cool them off, when they throw their dummies out of the pram again.
Zero tolerance, that is what's needed.
