I have been following this tragic story since Saturday and as there seemed to be quite a few people who witnessed this murder my question is why haven't we been given a description of the scum who ended poor Jimmy's life.

They probably haven't validated the witness yet. Terrible event.

The police can have all sorts of reasons for not disclsoing information in a case.
As we dont know all the facts behind the case we have to assume the police know what they are doing.

errrm, we have , the scumbag in question is described as being of turkish appearance in todays Evening Standard

They have described the witness as a white, middle aged man - why the hell do we need a description of a witness and not the murderer?

I've been thinking for the past couple of hours whether to post this because I wondered whether it would be considered 'poor taste'.
However, I think it needs to be said...a couple of months ago, there was a thread on AB where more than a few people, when discussing the current problem with gangs/knives/guns in London - said that 'these scum should be left to kill each other off' (I'm paraphrasing).
I said at the time, "What happens when the gang members start killing people who are not associated with gangs? Will your attitude be so laissez faire then?
Now that it's beginning to happen (non-gang members being killed by armed thugs) would anyone who said "Let them all kill each other" please like to give their view on this latest stabbing?

jno - I just thought it unusual that a description hadn't been released and that anything to get this subhuman piece of trash of our streets at the earliest opportunity should be welcomed.
