Can someone explain to me why murdering your own daughter is somehow honourable when a woman talking to a man is somehow not? What is the perceived blemish that must be cleansed?

The term is an oxymoron.
The warped and tangled logic that seeks to explain such crimes is that the honour of the murderer's family has been tainted by the actions of the woman. In taking her life that honour is restored.
It's amazing how killing people can be honorable.

The military around the world are beggers for it!

"Go shove this bayonet in that foreigners stomach - it's dishonorable to refuse"

"If you do it well we'll give you a shiney piece of metal with a ribon on it - there's a good boy"
It is just as people say Love making You can not make love when you are not with your legal wife. That is called lust. But many people will still call it Love making.
Wrong.
