Had this been a bloke, I bet you he'd be inside by now.

Not neccesarily postdog. There have been cases of men not recieving custodial sentences for sexual offences too.I think it all depends on the judge in each case.
I agree. If the offender had been a man he'd now be doing porridge and be labelled a nonce.

If this had happened to my teenage boy when he was a testosterone fuelled 14 year old, he would have thought all his birthdays had come at once. i would have seruiusly harmed the woman responsible.
I agree with you, Postdog
I only read the little bit about it on your link, but I don't think he would have thought all his birthdays had come at once. He may well have been traumatised and sickened by it all. A woman of her age could have really pressurised and intimidated him.
notafish...I was saying how MY teenage son would probably have viewed it, NOT the boy actually involved in the case.
This man didn't go to jail for having sex with a 12 year old girl, so no, it is not one rule for women and another for men.

I can find countless cases of men who have been jailed, men who haven't been jailed, and some of women who have and women who haven't.

There are less cases of women because the majority of sex offenders is men.
Introducing a young lad of 14 into hetrosexual adventures is hardly likely to warp his mind. If the sexual advances were made to a young femail then there could be a problem. However same sex advances are totally wrong for both boys and girls and deserved to be locked up.
Any 14 year old boy who wouldve been traumatised by this is possibly a poof. END OF.

Has anyone got a photograph of this woman?
I think a man would be far more likely to go to jail for this offence.
In general when one reads a story involving female sex offenders it's done in a tongue in cheek "Carry On" teacher vein.
With regard to underage sex involving adults people should face one way on the matter or not at all.
Here is a photo of her:

123everton - the link I posted on this thread reports a man who had sex with a 12 year old girl he had groomed on the internet. Not 'sexual acts' but full intercourse. He didn't go to prison.
Thanks for the picture Ethel.
The other link refers to a case from 4 years ago, if memory serves nobody under the age of 13 (sign of the times) can consent to sex no matter what. So the info is a bit out of date.
I don't know the statitistics but I'd wager a man would be more likely to jailed for a sex offence with a minor than woman. That's the question and the popular perception. I concur.
The main point I was trying make (so I'll reiterate it) is that the nature of the reporting of these incidents is often different, a man abuses an under age child, whereas a woman "seduces" an under age child. Kinky teacher, sexy Miss and so on is the basic tone of many of these stories. I think it's irresponsible and wrong of the editors to do so.
P.S.
I've had some gronks (it's 0145 and you're in the Grafton, curse that demon drink) in my time, if I'd been through her I'd wanna keep quiet about it!! So I would say he could well be psychologically scarred.
my post of the week goes to Booldawg LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL.

The law protects 14 year olds from such predatory behaviour. Supposedly they cannot 'give consent', so it is sexual assault. Maybe the law/research knows more than my common sense on this issue.
I feel eminently qualified to speak on this issue, namely I have once been a 14 year old boy. I expect anyone else who has once been one is also qualified. When you are a 14 year old boy, getting it on with an older woman is on your mind A LOT. You have just gone through puberty. Hormones etc are in overdrive. Thank god things calm down a bit after that. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can honestly, hand on heart, say that this lad will be traumatized by such an experience.
If it were INCEST, I can imagine how it would be different. I do not know much about how a male acting to a 14 year old girl would have different effects, I suspect the effect would be different. Pregnancy is also an issue, maybe the law has this in mind.
This woman broke the law, and the punishment is there for her. But speaking *scientifically*, I'd be extremely surprised to find out that the vast majority of 14 year old boys didn't spend the rest of their lives looking back on this situation with a smile on their faces. The major defence for the law as it stands is that he was too young to 'give consent'. Oh really. What happens 2 years later when he hits 16? The scales suddenly fall from his eyes and he becomes an in-control consent giving machine? I think not.
And this woman is put on a sex offenders register, and will be given the same level of monitoring as a guy who raped 8 year olds. Hmmmmmm.....
The lad probably loved it!! Most young lads lust after an older woman so i seriously doubt he was traumatised and probably was bragging about it to his mates the following day! At 15 the lad knows what he's doin
"However same sex advances are totally wrong for both boys and girls and deserved to be locked up" WTF???
Her sentence is pretty severe: public humiliation, will be called a paedophile forever (she probably isn't), and her relationship with her family will suffer badly. As good as a 2 year jail term.
no they should have locked her up

agree if it was a bloke he would have probable been locked up

just her touching a young man would have severe mental sideeffetcs

i know id kill myself if she tried sucking me off in the cinema
line em up and shoot em!
"i know id kill myself if she tried sucking me off in the cinema
"
really.
she'd have to find it first. film would be over by then.
