Apparently on the Radio it said that the French are so patriotic that they prefer to speak in French, but it would be no problem because our Queen speaks fluent French.

I consider this a snub, and I bet if she ever visits France they will not return the compliment. Take the Eurovision Song contest, when France announcers their vote results it is never in English, as per the norm.

my personal experience would show that view to be an over generalisation and not a view i would necessarily agree with,
