Just watched this on BBC 1 (or 2, not quite sure.) Anyway, I was outraged that every single person on the panel was banging on about China's involvement in Darfur for selling them weapons and giving them oil revenue. They were all suggesting we boycott the Chinese olympic games. Now correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they being slightly hypocritical when we have been arming most of the world and exploiting their resources for a large part of the last 500 years? That silly bint from the Daily Mail that was on it wants brought down a peg or two as well! If only there was room on shows like that for tolerant fact finding journalists instead of sensationalist headline grabbing bullsh1t dresser uppers! Load of tosh the lot of them!

I agree, it`s bloody disgusting and obcene to allow the happenings in Darfur to go on. These people are treated worse than animals. Time we all stood up and done something about it.

Yes we westerners can only see the picture painted from our own perspective. If we just stood back and looked at situations from the other persons point of view there would be less wars and conflicts. Sometimes I think we are all being brainwashed.

China, yes they have a few Human Rights issues and they treat animals fairly bad, but your average Mr Wong or Chang in this country is a hard working family man with NO terrorist tendencies. Your average muslim Sudanese man is nothing short of a piece of pig sh!t.

Your Sudanese Christian, on the other hand, always comes across as a pleasant person.

the conflict is partly between Africans and Arabs and partly between farmers and nomads - a bit like the Wild West. If they'd watched Oklahoma they'd know that The Farmer and the Cowman Can Be Friends. The reason the UK record of arms sales is being conveniently overlooked is that the situation in Darfur is in need of immediate attention - genocide, the US calls it - and with the Olympics coming up there is an opportunity to put pressure on China, Sudan's main friend. So it's timely, but there's no reason to forget all about what Britain has been up to.

what goes on in other countries & cultures is nothing to do with us, why should britain impose their shallow values on other races, when will we ever learn to keep our noses out of other nations affairs.
as we are now getting the backlash from our forefathers interferences from the days of colonialism & imperealism.
its about time this country & the gob------ who run it learnt to focus on our business
