Teenage gangs, violence (part of their culture laak know wot I meen laak)

Who gives a sh!te anymore ? I certainly don't. While the yoofs kill each other I don't give a sh!te.

South London is going to resemble Jamaica and Kenya soon. These people KILL each other, get used to it in 21st century Britain.

These are degenerates, the more they kill EACH OTHER the better for the rest of us.

I'm not sure where the figure of 80/90% comes from.

And even if it is correct - why has it suddenly happened?

Black Britons have been here for half a century and this has never been an issue before.

Unless people are willing to grasp the complexities of the issues involved, these crimes will just continue.

Furthermore, the problems of gang violence isn't just London, Moss Side and Glasgow. You can also add Liverpool, Bristol and the outer edges of Birmingham.

It's a falicy to point to 'troublesome blacks' and leave it there.

Depressing viewing that Dispatches programme. Both the South London and Glasgow examples showed that for a lot of the kids they don't have a chance from birth. What the hell are you going to do if you're born into a family that have for generations belonged to the same gangs? What do you do if your parents and every kid that you grow up with is involved? What do you do when you're allowed to roam the streets at aged 4 with an iron bar!?!?! Put any child of any nationality into that kind of environment and you're going to breed thugs.

The original post was about violence between gangs. It did not mention guns or shootings.

The preferred weapon for inter-gang violence is the knife,. There are far more stabbings than shootings among this group.

Most gang violence is territorial. Someone will be attacked for being in the wrong gang or being in the wrong area.

Gun related crime is usually about drugs and money rather than gang warfare.

If you had kept reading, you would have seen this this paragraph...

"The preferred weapon for inter-gang violence is the knife,. There are far more stabbings than shootings among this group."

Do try and keep up.

That is because I was trying to keep on-thread about gang crime and not be distracted by your attempt to switch it to black on black killings.

Anyway, just to educate you, here is a link about shootings in the UK...

Ok, please enlighten me. Please find some statistics that support your cause. (not ones you make up) and post them or a link here.

"no link to shootings, conveniently? "

Don't try to fob me off with 'watch the news for a fortnight'.

I rose to your challenge to find some facts about gun crime, how about you doing the same?

I am not surprised if you cannot find any facts to support your argument, because it is spurious.
I for one have no wish to ignore it. I don't want to accept or tolerate violent crime no matter who is perpetrating it on who ... it is wrong, wrong, wrong. It's not going to be the new normal for me or mine I hope. I am lucky enough to not live in a 'intense area' but I have no doubt that in the midst of mayhem there are lots of ordinary hard working folks who just want to get on with their day to day living without these 'wrong 'un's ' being allowed to run amock. I also think that poverty and the lack of facilities in these areas is a contributary factor ... I acknowledge that some people would seek alternate ' entertainment' even in the face of massive funding. No cure-all suggestions here I'm afraid.
Question Author
It was an inflammatory question, and boy was I inflamed when I wrote it ! Thanks for the responses.

Such crime is rife in inner cities where there is widespread poverty (WHY?), poor housing (WHY?), poor education (WHY?), lack of employment (WHY? but would you employ one of them - exactly!)

How do we address the problem ? Chuck public money at it ? ---- i.e. Your and My money - and what do we do with that money, build yoof clubs maybe for them to terrorise and burn down.

So many questions, and so few answers because - to put it bluntly - there are no answers. It is the way it has become, and it is not going to change. The rest of us have to live with that fact.

This is Our Britain, 21st century version.

I take it you couldn't find any facts or corroborative material to support your spurious argument.

Our debates seem to always end like this, I asked you to supply evidence to support what you are saying, and you cannot because there is non.

Here is a quiz question for you:

Who was the Pakistani cricket who was arrested for drink driving days after refusing to celebrate with his team mates?
