Is it likely that he will resign after the results of the Hutton inquiry are published?

It depends on what Hutton has to say. As always, the media have rushed to judgment; but I don't think any of the issues looked at by Hutton are as clear-cut as the Press would have us believe.
Geof Hoon is obviously keen to hang onto his post, but as muh colleague advises, it does depend on the Report, but I think even then he may have to be pushed, if it is deemed necessary for him to make that sacrifice.
but then who would resign over the lack of armour for soldiers scandal??
i dont think hoon would be able to be that efficient. HE would probably order his resignation but due to logistics problems it would turn up 6 weeks after he retires.
