What you mean is from The Daily Mail/Express/Telegraph's point of view, Muslims are the most racist...etc...etc.
But you're not quite right there. Muslims aren't a race. You have Saudi Muslims, Iraqi Muslims, Pakistani Muslims and British Muslims.
Therefore, what you actually mean is that a teeny tiny minority of Muslims have twisted the teachings of the Koran in such a way as to use it as an excuse to bolster their own assumption of male superiority.
Tell you what - if you're going to accuse Muslims of being inherently racist by killing their non-conformist daughters, you will have to accept that non-Muslims are more likely to be paedos because you never see a Muslim kiddy fiddler in the papers.
You see how weird that argument becomes when you expand it like that?

Thank God for Robinson's Orange Barley Water!!!!
admarlow does have a valid point.
But again - talking of 'radicals' here. If they do see us as the enemy, why do they so eagerly come here, snap up our Council flats & houses, breed, then preach such hatred to their children, or other young impressionable people, that this is such a terrible place to live.
Why don't they want to go back 'home' to their own countries? Why? Doesn't take much to work that one out does it?
They should be grateful & not bite the hands that feed them!
Yep - wasn't much tolerance within that link admarlow?!!!!

You're assuming that thing that many people assumed of me and my sister when we went through the same thing in the 70s.
When some of the 'mouth-breathers' in Bermondsey used to shout out that we should 'go back to where we came from', effectively we would only be able to go back to Dulwich and Camberwell, being the respective birth places.

I just read your link to the BBC.
Pretty darn horrific.
Literally unimaginable that a human being could do that to another, simply because of their religious beliefs.
Now, are you saying that we should judge all minorities by their extremists?
How many Muslims are in the world, and how many proven honour killings can we quantify.
Actually, I'd be interested in your answer on the first question.
Should we judge people by the worst in their communities?

You really aren't listening are you sp?
You aren't reading the sentiments within the posts properly!
It sounds to me that you have an almighty chip on your shoulder! No one's mentioned anything about the peace loving people who were, or were not born here & want to integrate & I do genuinely feel for you & your sister if you've experienced racial insults or disharmony in the past.
It's about the people who come here, only taking what they can get, then condemn &/or want to blow us up!
Got it?!

Beg yer pardon...Copeland then left the BNP, because they didn't advocate violence...
...I should of course, be referencing the National Socialist Movement.
Not too clear on how many cells operate in this country, but with the current anti-Muslim climate in the country (and I'm not just talking about extremists...it's spreading to all Muslims because I know a number of non-Muslims who see all Muslims as 'potential terrorists') it's sure to grow.
I always target the BNP because they are filth. If you want to protest against Labour vote Conservative or LibDem.
By voting BNP...it's like...like...it's like you've been burgled, so you hire the Mafia to look after your house.
Madness.

Exactly...no-one ever mentions the ordinary peace-loving, boring Muslims...however, check out the title of the post:
If you want to see what Muslims get up to behind the closed doors of their Mosques, and how anti-British they are
Now, where in that question do you see the words 'Muslim extremists'? Where do you see 'radicalised Muslim youth'?
You see where I'm going with this?
fender62 went on to say:
"well said judgej and smudge, the so called moderate muslims dont seem to be doing anything about the radicals amongst them"
...and that's what made me think "How many moderate white people stood up in the 70's and 80's and decried the P**i-bashing that was so inherent in council estate around where I grew up.
Okay...would you say that racism in this country is a two was street, or are you trying to say that it's literally just the Muslims?
Do you think that perhaps I should just opt out of trying to give you an alternative viewpoint, as I am wholly in the minority (no pun intended) whenever the subject of Muslims comes up?

Back again - dinner in oven......
Yes, I am well aware of the title & contents of this question sp (although it wasn't really a question - more of a memo to watch the programme).
You may very well feel marginalised on this subject - but looking at it from both sides & when you look at how many people actually take part in these discussions, you can't really get a balanced view, because some people are afraid to speak out in fear of reprisals, or at not being liked on & off AB - sad but true!
Everyone has their own views & if people can't agree, it's usually best to 'beg to differ' & leave it at that.
I wish you a nice relaxing evening & a sunny day tomorrow.

I've had a quick skim through the comments thus far and here's what I have to say:
Firstly, the vast majority of muslims are not extremists. I do not categorise myself or other muslims as "moderate", it sounds too much as if I've somehow diluted the teachings of Islam. I haven't. What people need to realise is that Islam does not advocate violence against non-muslims or male chauvinism. I didn't see all of the program, but from what I did see, the firebrand clerics on the program where misquoting the Qur'an and taking the verses out of context.
Secondly, Islam does NOT condone honour killings. They are a cultural phenomenon arising from ignorance.
Thirdly, there has been some mention of the inaction of "moderate" muslims. Excuse me, but what exactly do you expect? I personally haven't encountered any extremist muslims in or outside of the mosque. Should I abandon my studies and go in search of them?

Can I just point out something...I absolutely appreciate your point of view and thank God there are people like you and vehelpfulguy who have strong views that you are able to intelligently articulate.
I know I come across as an belligerent, but I'm not. Honest.
By the way, I've just seen Ant & Dec in Soho.
I thank God that we live in a society where dwarves can become popular television personalities.

sp1814, yes it's true we find there are Pakistani muslims, Saudi muslims, English muslims- for all I know there might be Eskimo muslims, but if you ask some of them their nationality they will answer you "muslim". To those individuals, their belief transends any ownership of nationality, aleagence to any government and you're either muslim or in the way. No part measures or ifs or maybes. I still say the mulahs are just keeping themselves in a job by cohersing the young and vunerable.
