I think they should have left him lying on the floor unconscious, shut the door and just not bother with him. If he does wake up, he undoubtedly will sell his "new "suicide story to the newspapers again, tell us some more conflicting stories about what he does and dosen't remember about the events on that terrible day, if Maxine was/wasn't involved. Not a month goes by without him being in the press, the poor parents have enough to cope with without being constantly reminded of this sick evil monster.
lets hope he DOES WAKE UP so he can serve the rest of his sentance without an easy way out, remember he wants to die, so why let him!!
I'm with admarlow, possibly for the first time in my life. Let him serve his sentence, not sleep through it.
I believe he should suffer for what he has done too, it's annoying he is constantly in the papers, the prison service has to spend more and more money on him, I assume he has armed guards at this secure unnamed hospital, he will require more medication at a cost once he is out, constant surveillance to ensure he dose not attemp to do it again, not to mention gameboys/playstations/magazines to aid his pittiful recovery (another annoyance but not to be discussed here).
Maybe someone could remove a part of his brain to make him suffer all day and dribble in a corner somewhere, ensuring he is suffering, can't end his life/sell any stories to the press/write any books/have no more money wasted on him. - Ooo I sound a bit evil myself now, but this man makes me so cross.
Yes, we all feel that way about him. The problem is that we think we are more civilised that he is, so we expect the prison service to treat him humanely. Frustrating isn't it?
I agree with Noman, it'll cost less to let him die, than keeping him alive and being a drain on resources.
personally, I've had enough of people like Shipman and Fred West deciding to cut their sentences short. They should be better supervised.
when they found him unconsious could they not have hung him him his cell, to make it look like a double suicide attempt.
I'm with ardmarlow and jno....fed up of these low lifes taking the easy way out. He should be made to live with the full horror of what he did, every minute of every single day for the rest of his long, sorry life. Suicide is a cop out for cowards and he should not, under any circumstances, be allowed to succeed. I personally don't mind paying taxes to keep this evil man in prison, it's what he deserves: every day in prison with no hope of release, ever.
Yer make him suffer the rest of his life in prison. Why would you want him to die? Maybe a slow and painful death but surely not to kill himself and get what he wants.
It would be great if you could make him immortal and make him suffer forever !

But is he suffering in prison?? OK he may suffer with his conscience but he hardly has physical hardship - his cell is better equipped than most pensioners front rooms are - and he's better fed. Let him die if thats what he wants, then maybe we'll hear no more of him.
