How long does it take for an eyebrow peircing to close up?

Just wondered as i am a chef, i just wondered if i took the piercing out for a few hours how long would it take for it to close so i couldn't put the bar back in after work?

if its an established piercing then ages. i had mine in for 6 years, then got sick of it and took it out. tried to put it back in about six months in and it only took a little coercion to get it in.

Yeah, i'm just worried cause this is my third time i've had it done. I guess its different for all but my first one rejected it, the second time it got infected and this is third time lucky and its perfect and now i'll be so gutted if it closes up on me. I love this peircing so much. I'm a little wuss when it comes to pain but i'd have this done ten times over i love it so much.

Can't you use a retainer?

No because its exactly the same as having the piercing left in, just different material, what they are trying to get across is no piercing jewlery because it may fall in the food, so i've got to take it out no matter wat xx thanks anyway xx
