approximately one million refugees are sheltering in Rafah as the IDF is preparing a ground assault...

rafah was previously designated a safe zone for civilians by the IDF and there is nowhere else in gaza to flee

what will happen to them?

Rafah is on the border of Egypt.   ...  Who like all the surrounding muslim countries and Iran (the facilitator of terrorism throughout the Middle East) will not take in refugees seeking safety from hamas or isis terrorism. Why would that be do you think? Is it because they don't want the mindless murderers amongs them pretending to be seeking safety? If it is, why do we allow them to come here?

Stablefords link is the above link. I added to it, to try to send it, without reading it myself. I trust him.

Cause and effect me old china.

o my god, I have had a road t Damascus moment - TTT is right!

you bomb a residential area,  and children die. Why didnt I see that before. Thank you thank you TTT, you are a genius.

'The UK, here we come' - via Egypt.

Rafah is on the border of Egypt.   ...  Who like all the surrounding muslim countries

o yeah - like Scotland cant understand why all the English dont move a few miles North - into the snow and rain, for a much better life style

yeah yeah foo Nicola Sturgeon shouts thro the bars, "Let me out!" and in a change of heart "Let them in!"

(Jordan has 10-20% refugees already ( Syria and Iraq)

In fact we cd solve ( we are achieving a lot tonight) Ukraine. They all move to Donetsk and be Russian !

there is no real answer, ceasefire to hamas is a green light to rearm retarget, gather info rinse repeat, they have to be taken out, as was said many times, in in there charter to wipe out israel and all jews around the world, big statement of hate on a grandscale, kill anyone jewish around the world...breathtaking.

Lets see how many of the surrounding muslim countries will accept palastinian refugees, not many I'm guessing as they haven't done so yet

The link in the op was out of date when it was posted anyway. Early this morming Israeli special forces released, alive, two of the hostages from captivity in Rafah. They are now safe with their families and being assesed.

//Last night, we brought Louis and Fernando home. In a joint rescue operation by the IDF, the Israel Security Agency, and the Yamam – the special forces unit of the Israel Police, we rescued Louis Har and Fernando Marman, who were abducted by Hamas on October 7th from Nir Yitzhak. This was a complex rescue operation under fire in the heart of Rafah, based on highly sensitive and valuable intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate and the Israel Security Agency. The operational unit of the ISA, the Yamam Unit of the Police, the Southern Command along with forces from the 98th Division, Shayetet 13, and the soldiers of the 7th Armored Brigade, acted in a professional and precise manner. There was aerial coverage and a wave of strikes by the Israeli Air Force together with the Southern Command. We have prepared for this operation for some time, with the necessary preparations made and waiting for conditions that would allow its implementation. In the early morning, at 01:49, the special forces breached into a building in the heart of Rafah. On the second floor, Louis and Fernando were held by armed Hamas terrorists, who were present in the building along with terrorists who were in the adjacent buildings. From the moment of the breach and entry into the apartment, Yamam forces shielded Louis and Fernando with their bodies, initiating a daring battle and heavy exchanges of fire at several locations simultaneously, with many terrorists. By 01:50, aerial fire was activated by the Israeli Air Force and Southern Command, to enable the force’s disengagement and to strike Hamas terrorists in the area. At this stage, the forces extracted Louis and Fernando from the apartment and evacuated them under fire, accompanied by IDF forces who provided them protection in the Rafah area until they reached a safe zone.//
IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.

Question Author

heavy artillery has already started hitting rafah. no signs of evacuation. i repeat that this city was designated as a place for civilians to flee by the IDF and they are now attacking it... it is effectively a tent city with hundreds of thousands of children

think on that as you go to sleep peacefully in your comfy safe beds...

Lets see how many of the surrounding muslim countries will accept palastinian refugees

they are palestinian refugees for chrissakes -

Why doesnt Popey take in all the English Roman Catholics - there is plenty of room in Italy? Their incense is smoke of the Devil, Their monotonous incantations drive teenage girls to ecstasy ( a well known dangerous state of mind) AND conjure up devils and spirits

You said at the beginning of this thread, "rafah was previously designated a safe zone for civilians by the IDF and there is nowhere else in gaza to flee".  The thing is that this applies to Hamas too.  They hide amongst the civilians like the cowards they are.  If borders are opened they will cross too and that is why all neighbours refuse to take Gazans in.  Don't forget the majority of Hamas fighters started off as ordinary Gazans that have been radicalised by the leaders of Hamas and often by their Imams.  Hatred of the Israeli's is taught to many from a very early age.  Before anyone says something I don't agree with the killing of innocent civilians.

Question Author

israel gives palestinian plenty of cause to hate it... i think the killing of children and obliteration of homes or firing on peaceful protestors is a far more potent means of radicalisation than anything an imam might say... then of course there is the simple fact of living under israeli occupation since 1967. that's the true root cause of all this.

Untitled, straight question.  Would you like to see Israel wiped off the face of earth and the Jews obliterated?  That's what Hamas wants.

No,the root cause of this was the 7th October attack. If the Hamas terrorists had just stayed in their luxury Qatari hotels and in their beds and in their tunnels under hospitals and schools none of this would have happened.

Question Author

no naomi i wouldn't. I would like to see israel restored to its pre-1967 borders.
