Isn't there a song by Genesis about the Giant Hogweed:

"Long ago in the Russian hills
A Victorian explorer found
The regal Hogweed by a marsh
He captured it and brought it home"
Being scared for life sounds horrific. Authorities ought to be rooting out all reported such plants.
I mind on reading about it a good few year ago and wee ones using the stems as blowpipes.
There's not much scares me let alone for life.
Lol^^ Beat me to it Lank. :))
Seriously, Hogweed is a nasty plant.
Not really a scarey plant, canary. But can be a poisonous plant if you rub against it.Slowly being eradicated around the burns and rivers up here in Scotland thankfully.
looks like giant Parsley ( presumably one of the embelliferae - mods reach for their delete buttons)

Dont touch !

sap causes blistering - and scarring
Last time I wrote about this I mentioned phyto-photo-dermatitis which a mod thought was a dirty sex practice. So I wont.....o

It's nasty stuff, there were some along the canal bank in the South of birmingham, quickly reported and removed . It's an incoming problem though and they ask the towpath users to report it when they spot it.

Why is it when I call out someone's typo I get lambasted as "spelling police", but folk feel free to mock mine. Double standards methinks.

Obviously I meant scarred but bloody auto-correct interfered. Grrrrr.
no one minded visious for vicious
presumably because no one read it
( or understood it)

hogweed is pretty scary !

or alternatively - get a liff
