...it seems that The Russians are not fighting the Wagner group and Prigozhin is on his way to Moscow. This looks like the start of a coup. President Prigo?

What the feck was the point of that ? You make a bid to change things and then change your mind and make a deal to run away ? Good grief. Unless there is some hidden longer term plan not clear to anyone, it seems he ain't the leader he appeared to be.
Something odd about this. Now the Wagner Group are on another border between Belarus/Ukraine, and the Ukrainian troops are in the south. Is this a strategy for the next phase?
There are Ukrainian troops in the north too :-)
It seems those cheering Prigozhin & his marauders really want more good old fashioned communism not less. Nothing is ever what it seems in Russia!

'The so-called Red Belt – areas that voted Communist in the Yeltsin era – is the heartland of Putin’s ‘real Russia’. Much of the Red Belt is located in Russia’s Southern Federal District, including the regions of Rostov and Voronezh taken by Wagner forces this weekend. Many in the Red Belt were disappointed by the realities of the shock transition to capitalism and the rigged version of democracy that replaced the USSR. When Putin came to power, he won over disillusioned Red Belters but Prigozhin’s recent antics have undermined his present unsuitability for the role of muzhik-in-chief. By tapping into anti-elitism and nationalism – forces that will be potent when Putin is gone – Prigozhin forced the Russian President into the unenviable position of defending disliked corrupt elites.
They are all marauders - Putin, Prigozhin and the rest.
It’s how you get on in that country.
If you aren’t all out for yourself no one respects you and that’s one reason why you don’t see anyone protesting much.
Prigozhin treats his men well so I was told. As long as they are marching forward not back :-)
I was amused that people were surprised by the turn of events: the sudden “agreement” despite all the big defiant words on both sides as if none of it mattered. It’s always been like that in Russia and if there ever was an agreement between the two Ps it’ll be worth less than the paper it probably wasn’t written on
More reports that Ukrainian forces are entrenched on the left bank of the Dnipro in Kherson: first reported Saturday - and that Russians are slowly retreating towards Oleshky.
But as far as I know only reported by Russian telegram channels
Progo has just issued a rather submissive statement:

"The aim of the March was to avoid the destruction of the Wagner group. We regret that we had to hit Russian aviation.

"We wanted to hold accountable those who made mistakes during the special military operation in Ukraine."

When you've got them by the balls [& it sounds like someone has] their hearts & minds will soon follow. :0)
Yep I think that statement by Prigozhin is about right. He attacked the military commanders, not Putin. And he never had 25,000 or anything like “marching on Moscow”.
As I said at the time: it was a few vehicles. Not all of them military. He gambled perhaps in having more support among the top military. My guess is the at while those top military may have it in for Putin they sure as hell don’t want Prigozhin either.
But the silence from many of them for a while on Saturday was deafening
