Everyone knows politics is about perception, so why has Sir Kier employed this woman it was bound to cause a stink and not look good even if everything is above board?

Trying again ...

Keir :-)

Yes I agree, rather strange.
Better to have her inside the Labour tent
...
What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

The Director of Public Prosecutions is also independent, but that didn't stop Sir Keir himself from becoming a Labour MP after being the DPP ...
Stinks dissipate. Benefits from a position last longer ?
This stinks to high heaven.
Most likely the leftover party food starting to rot.
I don't doubt it.
she is by all accounts a very competent person and her report is quite transparent in showing its evidence

of course boris will claim it's all biased but that's just the kind of deceitful self-serving creature he is
\she is by all accounts a very competent person and her report is quite transparent in showing its evidence\

Of which I have no doubt!

It's a question of ethics and good practice. Sunak to block her appointment. Simple!!
She's competent but is she impartial? This would suggest not. Ironic that this news was released at the same time as the initial report from the kangaroo court.. or is it? Hmmm.... Keir may well have shot himself in the foot with this one.
did you read the report naomi? I did.
No. I've only read reports of the report.
NAOMI, "Ironic that this news was released at the same time as the initial report from the kangaroo court"

How is the Privileges Committee a, "kangaroo court"?
You respect its purpose as genuine if you want to Corby. We all have our own opinions.
I am asking why your opinion is it's a kangaroo court.
Because I don't believe its intentions are honourable.
The seven-person Committee has a Tory majority and will have to provide the evidence used to reach its decision.

That will then be open to challenge when it is debated in the Commons.

Is that the action of a kangaroo court?
Hmmm … there's a difficult one, Corby. Now let me think. Who booted Boris out? Oh, yes. A group of treacherous Tories. And who likes him even less? Oh, yes. The opposition benches. That'll work - for the naive. :o)
you should read it naomi it's only 24 pages and i don't think your judgement of it is accurate
Well Done good move ....Sir Keir.
