If I was directly involved in this man's original crime, I might well believe in karma, or fate, or God's intervention, and so on.

But I am not, so I think it is simply coincidence.

Some may take vicarious pleasure from the death of a complete stranger based on his previous crime, I try not to, it makes me feel diminished as a person to take pleasure in the death of anyone.

What a monster! Whatever it was he’s gone and good riddance. Society is a better place without him.
