Shocking! What on earth is Byline Times?
Ah yes, Byline Times, owned by one Peter Jukes who, during the 1980s and 90s, was an active member of the Labour Party.
You wouldn't like it naomi, it's not Right Wing.
///an active member of the Labour Party.///

Unlike Rothermere, Barclay, etc, whose millions donated to the Tory Party keep them afloat.

I’ve never heard of it.

Anyone familiar with Confirmation Bias? It's an interesting phenomenon. For further reading see 'Khandro'.
Hardly headline news.
boris johnson will always let down the people who back him… he’s only ever been in it for himself
byline times does also publish material by more right-wing contributors… peter oborne writes for them and he’s very conservative

it is actually quite a good investigative news site
> Hardly headline news.

Indeed, that is why it is in the "Byline Times". The clue is in the name ...

---------------------
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byline_Times
Interviewed in 2019, [its editor Hardeep] Matharu described the purpose of Byline Times as to "really dig down and investigate [...] pressing social issues, many of them to do with justice, or a lack of, which for one reason or another are not being widely or extensively reported on elsewhere." [Its founder Peter] Jukes described the newspaper as providing "what the [other] papers don't say" ...
---------------------

You might ask why the other papers have so little to say about Boris's long absence when they had so much to say about Hancock's shorter one.
If it’s because they love him I can’t say I’d noticed, ellipsis.
I can't say I'm very happy about him drawing a salary while he's on a self-granted "hiatus" ... my taxes (and yours) are paying that salary.
Best you tell him then - but that doesn’t explain why, as you said, the other papers have so little to say.
He doesn’t have a massive majority in Uxbridge and South Ruislip. A slight swing would oust him.
He hates losing, so I suspect he will stand down when the General Election is imminent.
What on earth is the point of this thread?
Khandro
This thread is just reiterating what we all know - that Johnson is derelict in his duties.
I'm no (longer) a fan of Boris, but your tweet says he got 750k for 3 speeches, I think this is 3 x the same speech, which would not take up much time & if people are prepared to pay so much, good luck to him, & he must have something good & entertaining to say.

This is simple envy; how much time he spends with his constituents is another matter entirely.
One of these days you lot will realise Johnson is in the game just for himself and he couldn't give a toss for his constituents or joe public . Get used to it
