Boris says the rise in NI tax is the right thing to do and is good for the Country. He had to make this very difficult decision because of the
NHS backlog. What happened to the £350 million a week you saved from Brexit Boris, that was supposed to be going to the NHS ?.
Or did that money go to the Cronie Party ?.

Hi Gully
good moaning ( a bit from allo allo there)

even Naomi agrees he nevuh said that.
altho a lot of us think he did - more than once !

and anyway it was budget-y stuff ( not real money). Take one account from anuvva account and get three-fifty. No one really believed that Macron wd come wivva suitcase stuffed wiv da moolah and say - "Here you majesty this is yours! ( je suis au service de Sa Majeste ) etc "

did you?
// 07.54 .Just like to remind you of Boris's broken promises ladybird.//

get on Gully - TTT ( bless ) used to launch three or four Brexit freds a day - all subtly different. Like Brexit is Bad - - or is it crap?
You know essential must-be-answered questions, intriguing, persuasive and incontrovertible

and here you are with an interesting q - "Boris is a damned liar is he not?"
and all the girlies squawk o no not that again !
PP, Naomi said nothing of the sort. Stop lying and leave me out of your stupid ramblings.

Bingo ..Ha ha !
Personally I think the NI is the wrong thing to do. High tax stifles an economy and right now we need it pumping up not being drained.

As for Brexit, arn't we still paying? So even if you were unable to read plain English that ones a none starter.

And anyway whilst we are on the subject of the NHS it has plenty of money. What it needs is ripping apart and in the process get shot of all the useless overpaid managers. Then there will be no need for more cash.
The NHS could be gifted 100% of the UK tax-take and a free Unicorn for every employee, and they’d still be whining it’s not enough.

It’s not the “envy of the world” that some people think.

There’s too much overhead. Following the news earlier in the week about safeguarding women only spaces, there was an LBGTQWERTY+ chief at a Trust having a right old moan about it. Does any Trust need such a role? This person is probably trousering at least £100k in a completely unnecessary job. An unnecessary overhead.

Rishi Sunaks wife is earning from shares in Russian investments . seems like she is living up to the Con motto.
"We are all in this together" when it comes to money.
No, Gully for eff's sake get yer facts right.

1. Non Doms have been around since the mid 18th century - she pays her tax on UK net income as she pays her Indian tax on her Indian income - as many of us do having lived in different economic regimes/climes. Nothing illegal there, either by non-dom agreements or offset taxation - wit American to UK.....

2. Her parent holding company is in India and they have already announced that they are closing down their Russian operations.

Come on, get up to speed and get out from under your blinkered blanket.
> "We will not raise .
Income Tax, Vat, or National Insurance. If you vote for me, said Boris the Liar.
>> Can you provide proof of that?

Yep. Google Conservative Party Manifesto 2019 and the first result is:

https://www.conservatives.com/our-plan

On there you'll see, near the top:

> We will not raise the rate of income tax, VAT or National Insurance.

And, just below that, Boris's signature.
> Sunak's wife is an Indian national and is registered as a non-dom - this is completely legal, so she's doing nothing wrong

Since when did completely legal equal doing nothing wrong? I suppose by that measure Amazon's tax avoidance is also completely legal and therefore doing nothing wrong. The big difference is that Amazon isn't married to the Chancellor of the Exchequer ...
Question Author
If Sunaks wife lives in the UK all the year ,
she becomes a UK resident , you pay your tax to the Country you are living in . She has the Benefits of being a UK resident, She should pay towards them. ...End of.
Sozza Naomi - I thought you had denied Boris had ever cracked the £350m joke. If you say he did, then he did.

Non Doms have been around since the mid 18th century

er excuse me - income tax dates from 1799 - Temp measure by Pitt the younger to finance the French war

and in PP-world, you cant be non-dom fifty years before the tax was invented. as Naomi might say - "stupid or wha'?"
PP, //thought ...//

Thinking isn't your forte. Leave me out of your inane prattle.
Question Author
07.17 Oh dear P/P has caught Naomi out ..
you naughty boy.
//Thinking isn't your forte//

Lol, neither is it a forte of the usual AB chameleons.
Gulliver, you're confused again.

1ozzy. Indeed.
"Since when did completely legal equal doing nothing wrong? I suppose by that measure Amazon's tax avoidance is also completely legal and therefore doing nothing wrong."

If you're equating Amazon's legal tax avoidance with Sunak's wife legal tax avoidance, then by that measure all legal tax avoidance is wrong.

People who have an ISA are avoiding tax.

Or is it, as I suspect, because Sunak's wife is fabulously wealthy that makes it "wrong".

Oh no, possum. Merely kindly indulgence.
