Yep.
Something to think about when you fill their pockets £$¥ when you fill up at the pumps.
It is Gromit, but same question to you. Given the current situation with regard to fuel what do you propose is done about it?
I’d love to see a full boycott.
Not sure how feasible that is.
Until then I’m not apologising to anyone for buying petrol.
Let’s not lose sight of who the real villains are
By “boycott” I mean government action not a consumer boycott
maggie: "TTT, calling anyone on here a G5 is uncalled for. Only recently found out what you meant by this and find it infantile. " - I assume you mean 5C, tell you what I'll stop calling them out when they stop adopting the traits.
It is not possible at the moment Ich.

There is a shortage of fuel for various reasons as it is forcing the wholesale prices up to such a level the poor will suffer immensely.

I quite understand the Eco warriors dont give a monkeys about the poor but I do. They are the mainstay of our Country and its economy to ignore them and treat them like they are nothing is not acceptable.

So for the minute we must hold our noses and accept it. When things get better perhaps we can address the problem.
There was a time, not so long ago when, if you called someone a traitor you could find yourself in trouble or at least on the receiving end of a right good kicking.

Of course these days it's excused as the lazy thinking of a weak mind and it wouldn't be right to assault the enfeebled, however provoked.
There was a time if you WHERE a traitor you could find yourself on the end of a rope. Almost every canary post is some sort of anti British dig. I find that offensive.
I doubt your "evidence" would trouble a court of law.
Your post shows that you know if not fully understand the seriousness of the charge, Tora, so maybe there's a small hope that you'll moderate your expressions and keep things in the realms of reality.

After the first few salvos it all becomes background noise on here but you may find yourself blurting out your schtick in a public place one night and be on the receiving end of righteous indignation and not in the form of pixels on a screen.

I suggest we buy our oil from Venezuela and Iran. And tell the Saudi dictators to get out of Yemen.
Gromit // And tell the Saudi dictators to get out of Yemen.//
By what right are we empowered to do that?
// Let’s not lose sight of who the real villains are //

I think you have.
We are discussing Saudi Arabia, not the Russians. They are executing their own people for disagreeing with the barbaric regime who are in charge.

The same right we have to tell the Russians to get out of Ukraine.
The war with Yemen is illegal under UN law, the use of cluster bombs is illegal, bombing school buses is illegal, and killing civilians is illegal. By not objecting to any of that, we are complicit.
We can object but we cant tell any other country to get out.
^
Why not?
We are telling the Russians to get out of Ukraine. We should tell Saudi Arabia to get out of Yemen.
Better still would be to stop buying their oil and source it from somewhere like Venezuela.
Gromit, Just when did the UK tell Russia to get out of Ukraine?
22nd February.
The war in Yemen is not the same as the one in Ukraine.
One is a civil war, the other is the unprovoked invasion of a peaceful country by another, and what's more it's pretty much on our doorstep.
As I said before, Saudi Arabia bad, Putin worse.

That is my view anyway,.
Gromit. the only reference I can find to Ukraine on 22nd February is this and nowhere does it say that Russia was told to get out of Ukraine.
