Gromit @ 09.37.Spot on again. The Con Party have a reputation for Ruthlessly disposing of their leaders who have become surplas to requirements, as you say The Ghastly Lady, who the Cons thought was their greatest leader ever was thrown overboard in the end.

09,57 Ken ....LOL.
she served three terms, can't see Labour under the dud that is Keir Starmer doing that.
Emmie, Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss are the likely front runners.
i hope he weathers the storm Danny...
Gully, you list "Jermy Hunt" @ 11/1 in your OP. Was that a typo or, given his link with health, was it a pun? :-)
'It’s too much to say that Tory MPs have lost confidence in Boris Johnson as Prime Minister. They never had much in the first place, which is why his chances of leading the party were seen as laughably low until the Brexit crisis. He was chosen as a wild card, the only man who could turn Theresa May’s mess into a majority. That hasn’t changed. So it doesn’t matter how frustrated they get with him: he is still, by some margin, the best election-winner they have. Until that changes, he stays.' .........

Ken @ 10 03 ..lol.
Interesting that Fraser Nelson thinks that Boris is the best election-winner the Tories have; I believe he's the best election-loser they have. With the current Labour party in the state they're in I can't see them actually winning but I think Boris will cost the Tories a large part of their majority.
Serious question Gulliver: Surely, as someone who supports Labour, and who wants them to win the next election, you'd prefer Johnson to stay in office? If a new leader is chosen, they may well be able to bring a little order to the Tory party. Less chance of a Labour win next time with a stronger leader in No 10.

Emmie @10.02 . He is fast becoming "Yesterdays man" he will soon be skipping over those "Sunlit meadows" he invented,,,, hand in hand with Carrie and all the little Johnsons running behind them.
Mozz at 10.12.

You’ll be baffling him with that sort of common sense!
Given the lack of a response, you may be right DD.
