I feel like it could work but I’m not really sure. I feel like it will and won’t work

More good than harm I suspect.
only time will tell
This ought to be in B&S.

The scientists are sure and that's all you need concern yourself with.
I had the AstraZenica one last week and now they are saying it doesn't work so well on the over 65s :-(

Yeah but some people are wondering if it will affect your lungs since COVID does
You are 200% right.
It will and won’t work.
Who are some people? Chardonnay on Facebook?

ALL vaccines carry a small risk to a small number of people - the same with all medication. I completely accept the long term effect of the vaccine CANNOT be tested yet. But I shall have it when I am invited to do so.

Who is saying that? I haven't heard it and it's a bit worrying.
Barsel I don't know how to do a link for this but it is on the Sky News website. The German government say it's not as effective for over 65s but Boris disagrees.
It's still safe and anything is better than being in hospital on a ventilator!
So much confusion and conflict. I keep telling myself not to read anymore about it, and just wait and see what happens.

The EU medicines regulator who is evaluating the O/AZ vaccine says there isn’t enough data to prove it is effective in older people.
They are not saying it doesn’t work. They are saying there isn’t enough evidence to prove it works.
The Oxford one definitely seems to be causing shortness of breath in older people, for about a week.
Emily get up to speed with your info. The vaccine does not contain any of the virus. People may be already infected when the have the vaccine, covid takes a few days to show symptoms, but these people are still carriers.

The Germans are saying that. They've been saying it since about Monday when they realised they wouldn't be getting much of it.

Not anyone we know is saying that. But even if its true for a few its not a gamechanger whereas the vaccinne probly is
It isn't, bobbin. It's just a personal observation or warning.... 6/6 so far, have struggled with breathing the following week- and only one already had breathing problems.

Hope this question is a little more mature
We need to keep an eye on what German officials are saying about the Astra/Zeneca vaccine. It could be overcaution on their part, but it is at the very least unlikely to be politically motivated. German Scientists can be trusted, as any other scientists can, to report what they see honestly.
//The Germans are saying that. They've been saying it since about Monday when they realised they wouldn't be getting much of it.//

They are still demanding what they failed to order in time though(Not like them mind. They used to like giving orders) The test conducted by the German Health Ministry( not the EUSSR elf Ministry then) only had 8% of the trial group aged 65 or over. So the vaccine is only effective on 8% of people over 65s. They did retract that statement of course after it had been widely published in the press, so it now prevails cos bad nooos travels better. Then ... ohh how I laughed.

Awww stoppit. I'm not here to enjoy myself.
