Sending your daughter and your family best wishes Zac ,it must have been a terrible worrying time for all of you, glad your girl has come through xxxxx
apart from last year i normally spend the holidays with my brothers and sils usually for a week or more as they live a long way off, i like to celebrate my birthday with them, but thats not to be this year. I have accepted that, but its not knowing when we might see each other again that i find difficult.
pasta we will have to have a drink together on CD< - i have been given some booze possibly champers by a friend and we can toast each other down the ether.
Family Christmas off! Haven’t seen them for nine months! We can’t travel between Devon and St Ives (the other one!) in one day! Will have to hope we can buy ingredients for Christmas Dinner next week! Grandchildren will not get their presents. It is a disaster for us and we are devastated.
My mum (85) has decided not to come to us for Christmas Day. She’s just concerned about who we’re mixing with, even tho we’re being v careful. It’s a brave decision in terms of thinking how many Christmas’s she’s got left. I know Answerbank members contain a lot of similarly aged people and I appreciate how tough it must be for you.
Why would anyone be planning on meeting others in any situation? You only have yourselves to blame if friends/family end up getting/spreading covid whatever the variant. It is just a date in the calendar - wait and have a get together in better times.
