//Restaurants, cafes and shops can now open in Australia's most populous state, but with strict distancing rules//

Great! Can't see many applying distancing rules though.
" Pubs can also reopen but only for dining – the bar stays closed."
"not all venues in Sydney are choosing to open their doors. There's a limit of just 10 patrons at any time - and many places say that's not a profitable number, so they'll just stick with takeaway orders."

I'm now more hopeful we'll see pubs open here (with restrictions on numbers) by maybe end of July. I originally thought it would be nearer Christmas
Why do they call it "XXXX"? Because they can't spell "beer"...

Have they got any decent brews down there? Never been, never likely to go, just wondered.
On second thoughts, apologies for straying from the topic, I just noticed this is in "News".
"Australians drink beer" is news, for the first time in quite a while. If Fosters is actually beer; I'm not sure if they have a Trade Descriptions Act down under.
I believe when Aussies are invited to a friends BBQ they are requested to 'Bring a slap of Pizz'. A 24 can tray.
I used to drink Fosters lager in 1 litre tins which was imported from Oz.
There was a traveller's hostel in London Street Paddington called The Nomad Club and they sold ,Oz ,South African, tinned beers. You wouldn't believe it in this day and age but the litre tins of Fosters were lethal and I could barely finish two tins. I am talking 1970s. The VB (Victoria Brewery) was quite good.
Australians don't drink Fosters. Or at least one of the ones I know do.
*none*
