Illusions shattered. Jeremy Corbyn is such a disappointment.
From age 16, I was in the junior section of the engineering Union, paid my levy, joined the Young Socialists. Got my green card a few years later, affiliate member of the Labour Party through the Union for the next 40 years and always voted Labour.
I celebrated Corbyns election as leader, loved his economic and social policies.
But now I know I could never vote Labour while he is in charge.
He has betrayed us regards Brexit.
His antisemitism, and preference for the Palestinians over the much maligned Israel, and now his refusal to stand up for Sarah Champion, and condemn outright the Pakistani grooming rape gangs is the final straw.
I just hope UKIP field candidates around here.
Corbyn has certainly betrayed me.
I hope the PLP do something to get rid of him.

it's refreshing that you are prepared to react to the shortcomings of the party and leader rather than follow sheep like. I hate everything about socialism et al but I respect your right to hold those views and as I have said on here before I do have sympathy with core Labour voters regarding the hijacking of the Labour party by the lunatic fringe.
We won't fully see the lunacy of their policies until they get power.

I fear that possibility is getting more likely by the day.
trust me hoppy COB will never get into no 10.
//I fear that possibility is getting more likely by the day. //

Me too, Hopkirk.
Which Tory politician is going to lead a vibrant election campaign to stop him?

I can't see an obvious leader, and they can't let Mrs May do it again. The campaign was hopeless.
Sajid Javid maybe.
No, no, no, Jeremy Corbyn.
Scooping, your post is ambiguous can you clarify?
Disappointed With May . Corbyn has already got his foot on the doorstep of no 10.
This dozy lot in power at the moment have really got to pull their socks up .if they want to stay in power.

If Corbyn ever gets into number 10 it won’t be because he’s popular. It will be because those disgusted with the government’s handling of Brexit will avoid the ballot box.
danny, scooping's post could be a variation on this:-
He has betrayed us regards Brexit

rubbish. He has nothing to do with Brexit. He seems personally to favour it, but he's the leader of the opposition and has no say whatever in the matter. If you're unhappy, try taking aim at the ones in government, not in opposition.

Preference for the Palestinians is fine with me.
Hopkirk: Think, first, that May should go. She should have gone after the general election fiasco. Then think of a fresh face. I'd venture a bet that whoever emerges would immediately have a poll boost of three to four per cent. No-one ever made money by betting on the next Tory leader. It's usually a surprise. She's got to go, for the good of the country and the Party.
One thing you can say about Corbyn: his views have never been a secret. Or changed much. The only thing, ironically, which he ever changed his mind in seemed to be the EU, but I don’t think it was convincing. And his latest speech on the economy is obviously courting labour’s Brexit supporting voters.
So I’m slightly puzzled that you find him a disappointment. Your views tho I must say have always struck me as somewhat to the right, do also surprised you ever had much time for him in the first place
Scooping, still confused, are you for or against Corbyn?
" I fear that possibility is getting more likely by the day"
Labour could get elected with Corbyn as leader.
If they changed their leader ,They would Definitly get elected, Trust Me.
hoppy: "Which Tory politician is going to lead a vibrant election campaign to stop him? " - doesn't matter, agent COB is the Tory's best asset. He got close last time but really that was based on now exposed BS and complete polarisation, Both May and Corbyn would have had a massive majority with their respective percentages in any other election but the last one. That has now gone. The public now see a militant hard left anti Semitic party led by an ex Soviet bloc agent. Even traditional supportes like the OP deserting. You could put Bonzo up as Tory leader and he'd wipe the floor with agent COB.
for once I agree with TVI - if Labour changed their leader and cleared out some of the loonies then they would quickly become viable.
TTT, that's not going to happen. The lunatics have already taken over the asylum.
Will there be a Red Carpet on the doorstep of No 10. to welcome the Labour Prime Minister ?. All the Tory Dreams turned into Nightmares, I would PMSL.
