Can only agree with AOG. And also FinnyMick....sorry to say for those against the truth...these two actually are speaking for a lot of people...not even on AB. I can say with chatting to others, with thoughts from people who don't come on here they feel the same. Sorry to put a downer on to the those who will do anything to 'diss' the people who see 'the truth' ...but once you fully open your eyes....IMO.... then if you aren't of a closed mind...you may well see the truth!
A couple of bent coppers nicking drugs for personal gain is small beer. Now this is proper thievery. Following on in the grand old traditions set by near neighbour Camdem where benefit fraud and council tax reduction fraud is rife. Even the Mayor was involved. Diversity? Divertary more like, of funds.

There are - as always, simply two sets of opposing views here, and human nature is that each sees their view as 'the truth' and the other view as being held by people who don't see it.
I maintain that there is no evidence of a wholesale Muslim take-over of the free world - it would have happened by now if it was going to - and even the fanatics continue to spin their wheels by murdering innocent people, and failing to advance their cause one inch in anything approaching a meaningful way.

Zacs...of course they are, along with a myriad other cultures. Doesn't meant it is acceptable or those others in other countries accepting people of other culture invading theirs. We are an island...limited borders by sea. Landmass not as prolific as a Continent....it makes a difference believe me!

I think 'invading' is an inappropriately emotive term for immigration which, although it seriously needs to be controlled properly, is still not in terms of an invasion.

The damned British have always tried to and in some instances gained power over those who have tried to reject them.

I moved to Bedford in 1978. In my school class of 30 there were 5 children British-born of Afro-Caribbean background, 3 British -born Asians, 3 British-born of Italian background, 2 British-born of Polish background, 1 British-born of Cypriot background. Is multi-culturism really that new? Those who are really struggling to appreciate other cultures ought not to come anywhere near the hospital I work out, where the staff members are from a very ethnically diverse mix.

I would not dream of speaking for Zacs, but my own view of the history of our islands is that we have been invaded, in the true sense of the term, many many times, and the invaders make up the complexities of our current population, and that is the way for most countries in the world.
I don't agree with the idea that all countries 'detest infiltrators' either, since that is what makes up their indigenous populations, and ours as well.
If I seriously thought that the Muslims coming here are intent of subjugating our society and culture and replacing it with their own, then I would be concerned, but honestly, I simply don't believe it to be true, any more than Enoch Powell's 'rivers of blood' speech about black immigration turned out to be true.
Fear mongers - especially the media, will always have an audience, because binding together to repel a common foe is human nature, and has been since time began - but that does not mean that we have a 'foe' to repel, just a twisted paranoid perception of Islam based on the actions on non-related terrorist psychotics.

The optimists see it differently...wishing it to work...the pessimists tend to see how it might not work. I am not sure that we were ever told that - do you have any evidence for something that is clearly nonsense. Saying that cultures have no differences is a self-contradicting view - of course cultures are different, that is what makes them cultures in the first place!
I think what you are referring to is the Blair and Labour notion that all cultures can all live together, which is vote-catching garbage - it was then, and it is now.
I think cultures can, and do co-exist, but the media-fed agenda that Islam is poised to 'take over' is simply not true, and only fuels suspicions, and underlines differences.
The problem is not that cultures don't mix - they absolutely do. The problem is in trying to tell people that cultures are inter-changeable, and that maintaining some cultural traditions equates to an unwillingness to integrate.
The reality is that culture is a vast and seriously complex concept, and trying to narrow it down to 'Muslims are taking over, we need to resist ...' is a fear-feeding lie constructed and perpetuated by our media, and grown in the petrie dish of modern cyber communication.
We need to look at reality, which is that most people would like to live happily with their neighbours - that is human nature, and not allow the seriously small minority to be allowed to appear to be a threat which they clearly are not.
