Mikey...there *might* be a link if the assailants were thought to be travellers...just a thought.
Well done AOG you have yet again managed to bring Muslims into a question that has NOTHING to do with them!
Question Author
Yes....maybe Pasta. Can't see any reference to the identity of the rapists.
Sheringham was completely different, that was teddy boys.

Gave me a chortle, I thought of him straight away never knew there was a place named the same.
Question Author
Yes, well done AOG....you are true to form, as usual !
Surprised that AOG has not said that all travellers are left wingers,
//They still have teddy boys?//
I thought it was teddy bears !

in the late fifties when Victorian Parties were all the rage - my father grew sideburns and a neighbour said to him
"O Mr Pedant you must be the oldest teddy boy in Dorset!"
so he shaved them off
Not suitable for a mature man
( or else he didnt mind doing it but didnt like what they said about it)
o those were the days !
he didnt go as a teddy bear either
Question Author
Or anti-British Gulliver !
Can't expect anything less from the likes of ANOTHEOLDGIT...
mikey says
'Group of travellers effectively close down a whole town.'

Nothing the police have said backs that up.

From the BBC article
Cromer Pier posted on social media to say its theatre bar was closing "on the advice of police".

"We are aware licensees of local pubs have taken the decision to close this evening."

(which is it?)

Some locals on Twitter have linked the disorder to the arrival of travellers in the area, although this has not been confirmed by police.

MOUNTAIN ... molehill?

//'Group of travellers effectively close down a whole town.' //
just how many of them were there?
Bet he even pre books his seat on the right hand side of an aircraft ,sitting over the right wing.
AOG has a point here.

Where is the evidence that Travellers are guilty of anything?

If a poster posted something about Muslims despite no evidence that Muslims where actually guilty of anything it would be picked apart.
Wouldn't it THECORBYLOON?

Birds of a feather. eh.
Question Author
No....no firm evidence that the arrival of the travellers is linked to the all the Pubs being shut down.

But the Pubs appear to have been closed, on advice of the Police :::

"Cromer Pier said: "On advice from the police, the Theatre Bar is closed to the public this evening as are all the other public houses in Cromer.
"Apologies for any inconvenience whilst we support our local police in bringing a difficult situation in the town under control."
THECORBYLOON

/// Can't expect anything less from the likes of ANOTHEOLDGIT... ///

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I've never known pubs to be closed because of Muslims. I do think had that been the case it would have been reported. They might not have reported it as Muslims because how would you know they are Muslim until they have been arrested and interviewed?

///There have also been problems in Sheringham which is about 5 miles north of Cromer///

Problems, would that be flooding? surely 5 miles North of Cromer is well out into the North Sea.
Are AOG and TALBOT related in real life also?
